00:00But we talked about to open the show here, the NL and the AL Rookies of the Year.
00:03And now that you're seeing some of these guys really produce only through a few games,
00:07they are moving the needle here, Craig, on Polymarket.
00:09You know the favorite right now is listed?
00:11It's actually Nolan McClain at 25% and closely by J.J. Weatherholt at 22% chance.
00:18And our guy, Sal Stewart, which only has $162 in volume on my guy, Sal, at 20% here, Craig.
00:24So we do get excited.
00:25We see a couple of home runs right off the bat in the National League.
00:28Like, you know what?
00:29This guy can make an edge.
00:30But is there any player that you would like to invest in early season in that rookie market space?
00:35Yeah.
00:36So the two guys I'll mention is one among the favorites and then one on the lower part of it,
00:41which would be Sal Stewart.
00:43Without a doubt, he plays on a very good offense, on a team that's going to score a lot of
00:48runs.
00:49The Reds are going to be in it from start to finish.
00:51They may not be a 90-win team, but they're going to be an 80-win team, I believe.
00:55And Stewart is off to a great start.
00:56I do think Weatherholt long-term will be the better player and the better play.
01:01As I mentioned earlier in the show, my concern is, you know, how interested is St. Louis investing in themselves
01:06in the summer months, June, July, August, September?
01:09And then at that point, I mean, my gosh, a rookie being the primary player on a Major League Baseball
01:15team offensively?
01:16I would be concerned with that.
01:18So to me, Stewart would be the guy.
01:20And then the bigger investment, again, playing the Homer card here.
01:23Look, Owen Casey, who was thrown into the opening day lineup against a left-handed pitcher, Donnie, on a team
01:30that likes to platoon, hit the lefty.
01:32And then again on Saturday, had a good game, too.
01:34Owen Casey's numbers are low.
01:36Miami is looking to pay dividends on a trade.
01:38When you trade an Edward Cabrera, you got to play that guy that you get in return.
01:42So Owen Casey, longer odds for me, would be the one predictive to make a small investment in.
01:49Yeah, and Justin Crawford of Philadelphia Phillies trading just below South Stewart at 19%.
01:53He's got a long leash in Philadelphia, specifically when your previous center fielder is on like an 80-game suspension.
01:58So he's going to get a long leash.
01:59We'll see what he can do in that environment.
02:01The AL hot start already.
02:03The favorites listed in the AL Rookie of the Year market, 26% right now is McGonagall.
02:07Fire start here.
02:09Chase DeLauder, four bombs.
02:10And not even through the weekend yet, he's trading at 25% here.
02:14There's a lot of really good talent here, specifically in the American League, Craig.
02:19Man, this is a market I got to check back in on next week when you and I come back
02:22here, Donnie.
02:23You know, like this is the kind of market where you could hurt yourself in investing a little bit.
02:29Because I would have to guess, but by the time that you and I are doing the show next Sunday,
02:35that DeLauder and McGonagall will calm down a little bit and there will be another name to bring up.
02:41But I will dive down deeper again, just like we did.
02:45And Murakami on the White Sox.
02:48This is a really eye-opening start for him to Homer in his first couple of games out of the
02:53box here.
02:54I mean, White Sox are obviously not going to be a good team.
02:57But is it possible that those questions about Murakami that people had and they didn't get that big deal, maybe
03:03they were wrong and maybe the White Sox were right.
03:05I think all three of those names, DeLauder, McGonagall, Murakami, all in play.
