Thousands of jobs in doubt as building giant, Probuild collapses

The Melbourne-based company says it's caught in circumstances not of its own making. Global consulting firm Deloitte has been appointed as administrator after it's South African-based parent company withdrew its financial support for the company. Subcontractors and tradesmen yesterday downed equipment and walked off the company's building sites.
