00:00This independent Jewish school in Sydney's east has been a major focal point of the Israeli
00:06president's second day of his visit to Sydney.
00:09Outside the school, surrounding the entire perimeter of the school, there's been a very
00:13major security and police presence, including officers from the public order and riot squad,
00:19many of them with long-armed firearms.
00:21The president arrived in a large convoy of police and emergency services and other visitors
00:26as well, and when he made his way into the school, it was a stream of students waving
00:31Israeli and Australian flags, offering a very warm welcome.
00:35He made his way through a line of these students, meeting them, greeting and saying hi, and then
00:40making his way into an assembly area where they are hosting him for a special assembly
00:45and a performance.
00:46Now this is all about offering a feeling of solidarity and helping with that healing process for this
00:52Jewish community, Moriah College being a real focal point of Sydney's Jewish community,
00:56which has been absolutely shattered by the events in Bondi in December.
01:01This is going to be a major part of Sydney's trip and he will then make his way to Canberra
01:06tomorrow.
