Zoids Saga DS: Legend of Arcadia English Patched Gameplay - Chapter 1: Arcadia Under Attack!

Zoids Saga DS: Legend of Arcadia is the conclusion of the Zoids Saga series. It comprises scenes from Zoids Saga, Zoids Saga II (released in the west as Zoids: Legacy) and Zoids Saga III: Fuzors. It features upgraded graphics and sound. Additionally Zoids and story elements from the Zoids Genesis anime have been included.

The game plays like a traditional JRPG with the player controlling characters and mechs from the Zoids titles. Enemy Zoids wander around the overworld and chase you on sight, which takes the player into the turn-based combat system. An English patch for the game done by @Traceeytrace in 2022.

The gameplay is the same as Zoids Saga except that Takara Tomy used the DS split screen feature to introduce the radar system. Regina gave him a peculiar device which he wore on his left arm called Arm Retcomm, a radar watch device with map, item locator, trap, and Zoids mining system. Right now, you only have level 1 of these systems, but you will get more upgrade for the device starting from midgame.

Unlike Zoids Saga, prince Atory Arcadia here in DS does speak but leaning into the quiet type as he speaks only when he feels like it. He had Zoid Commander feature implemented in the headpiece he wore on his left ear (Actually....how long has he been wearing that thing?? Since he was a toddler? He is 12 but I'm curious if he had been wearing that device long before the game begins). Other than that, this game just retells the original game but somewhat improved (The only thing I see here is that they didn't used some character's face sprite from the original fully. Regina for example, has more expression face sprites in the original Zoids Saga compared to DS. Notice how she doesn't have the sad face sprite from the original in DS when talking about her failure in tutoring Atory Arcadia)
