Zoids Saga DS: Legend of Arcadia is the conclusion of the Zoids Saga series. It comprises scenes from Zoids Saga, Zoids Saga II (released in the west as Zoids: Legacy) and Zoids Saga III: Fuzors. It features upgraded graphics and sound. Additionally, Zoids and story elements from the Zoids Genesis anime have been included.
The game plays like a traditional JRPG with the player controlling characters and mechs from the Zoids titles. Enemy Zoids wander around the overworld and chase you on sight, which takes the player into the turn-based combat system. An English patch for the game done by Traceeytrace in 2022.
The gameplay is the same as Zoids Saga except that Takara Tomy used the DS split screen feature to introduce the radar system. Regina gave him a peculiar device which he wore on his left arm called Arm Retcomm, a radar watch device with map, item locator, trap, and Zoids mining system. Right now, you only have level 1 of these systems, but you will get more upgrade for the device starting from midgame.
In Blue City, Hop said RD and Amy went to Savage Hammer HQ to negotiate. Jack asks about it and Sweet answered that Savage Hammer is Mach Storm's rival and it seems that Watts is a new member of the rival team. Ace concluded that Gale attempt to use said team to weaken them and Sweet asks who Gale is. "He's the prime suspect of the recent incidents," Ace explained. Sigma then asks Helmut if those three can take on Savage Hammer alone and Helmut said that Sandra is difficult to handle when it comes to negotiation. Hop then said that they can't do much about Leo Blaze situation as it stands and Sweet added that Savage Hammer's ability to exploit the fusion mechanic is too overwhelming and if they go without a plan, it will end badly for them. Hop said that fighting is not a good idea when it comes to Savage Hammer. Sigma expresses his frustration about the team's helplessness against Matrix Dragon and Helmut said the Liger Zero Phoenix didn't stand a chance. Regina just realized that the Prince isn't with her and starts looking around. Sweet wondered if he went after RD.
At Savage Hammer's HQ, Sandra asks if the Mach Storm want to be compensated with the damage their Zoid caused. The entire negotiation ended up futile as Savage Hammer already fabricated everything to make it seem like the Leo Blaze is their when it belonged to Matt. Atory enters and had everyone in Savage Hammer asking who he is. "This is a friend of the Mach Storm," RD said. Sandra asks, "What do you want, boy?". Atory voiced his mind about the Savage Hammer's intention. Watt asks if Athle wish to challenge them. "That's right," Athle said. His action shocks RD, Amy, and Matt so much that he left them speechless. Sandra laughs at his decision and tell the prince that they accept Mach Storm's challenge. Amy then voices her frustration in her mind over how they ended up in such situation while RD voiced his disbelief and Matt idolizing the Prince
