00:00 The Prodrive Hunter is a vehicle designed for Dakar.
00:09 Motorsport is going to have to behave responsibly.
00:14 It's a long, detailed analytical process and it's a turbocharged engine because you just
00:20 get more reliable power from the turbocharged engine.
00:25 So we looked at, for instance, the bodywork in the car.
00:28 The bodywork's actually not made from pure carbon fibre anymore, it's made from natural
00:32 fibres and is recyclable.
00:38 I like to think of us as pioneers when it comes to biofuels.
00:42 The use of biofuel was something quite novel and I remember when we started to talk about
00:47 it early on, everyone was a bit sceptical whether we could do this.
00:51 Bit of a risk I guess, but something we thought was the right thing to do.
00:57 So we took the fuel from an English company, Coriton, who've been developing over a number
01:03 of years and it comes from totally renewable sources and has a small amount of ethanol
01:09 within it as well, but nonetheless it is basically a sustainable fuel.
01:17 I think what we've tried to demonstrate with Prodrive EcoPower is a genuine solution that
01:25 is available now, that is a drop-in replacement for fossil fuel and certainly as part of a
01:32 blend of technologies, it genuinely is part of the future and can give us a very practical
01:38 solution to the problem of carbon dioxide.
01:48 Obviously the whole environment now, the whole world is going towards sustainable environmental
01:52 projects and we already, I think we're the first team to run a sustainable fuel in the
01:57 car.
01:58 We're looking at hybrid systems now, we're looking at other ideas as well for the future.
