Jio now sells prepaid plans with no mobile data at all, starting at ₹147. 📵📞
On October 31, 2026, Digit reported that Reliance Jio has added new voice-only prepaid plans, following TRAI's directions that telecom companies offer voice and SMS-only packs. The plans are listed on jio.com under "TRAI Mandated Packs".
The four new plans (as listed on jio.com):
• ₹147: 22 days
• ₹177: 28 days
• ₹196: 30 days
• ₹197: 1 calendar month
Each gives unlimited voice calls and 300 SMS, with no mobile data.
Smart tip: ₹147 is the lowest price, but by Digit's per-day math the ₹177 plan is cheaper per day (about ₹6.32 a day vs ₹6.68 for ₹147).
Jio's older voice-only packs, ₹448 (84 days) and ₹1,748 (336 days), are still listed. Digit notes that Airtel and Vodafone Idea already launched similar plans, and says these suit feature phone users, second SIMs and people who mostly use Wi-Fi.
