Today’s featured work, [Silent Mirror], was written based on the core theories of the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu: "Habitus" and the "Power of Cultural Taste." Bourdieu argued that a person's dignity and influence do not come merely from economic wealth, but from cultural assets—the knowledge, art, and environments one enjoys, which become embodied as "Habitus." This project visualizes a subject who meticulously curates and exhibits her identity as a "successful leader," set against the backdrop of a luxury boutique.
The line "Weaving every label straight into my skin" in the lyrics sings of the dignity of a habitus that has perfectly absorbed external signs into her own identity. Furthermore, the declaration "I am the one who defines how they try" reflects the dignity of a designer who, rather than chasing others' tastes, has become the benchmark for taste herself.
