Hello, citizens of Acity!
Today’s featured work, [Eye of the Storm], was created based on the core philosophies of the pioneer of existential philosophy, Friedrich Nietzsche: the "Will to Power" and "Amor Fati" (Love of Fate). Nietzsche once warned that "the higher one climbs, the colder and more dangerous the air becomes." Yet, he believed that this danger was the very condition that elevates a human being into a transcendent existence. The "Will to Power" is not merely about dominating others, but about pushing one’s possibilities to the limit to become an "Overman" (Übermensch) who overcomes oneself. This project visualizes the sovereign ego that remains elegant and unshakeable at the center of the storm, symbolized by a giant fan representing the acceleration of modern civilization.
The line "I rule the wind tonight" in the lyrics sings of the confidence of a ruler who has transformed external pressure into her own energy. Furthermore, the declaration of "Amor Fati" in the outro reflects the noble philosophy of a designer who found perfect serenity in the most precarious of places.
A time to stop fleeing before the massive storm of fate and instead turn that very center into your own territory. Following the gaze of the designer who overcomes herself and finds completion in the most dangerous of places, I hope you enjoy a time of pleasant contemplation as you transform the trials of life into a brilliant performance.
