Hello, citizens of Acity!
Todayâs featured work, [Nomad Code], was created by combining the aesthetics of solitude from Gaston Bachelard, the advocate of the "Poetics of Space," with the "Habitus" theory of the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. Bachelard viewed the ship not merely as a means of transport, but as a space onto which the archetypal human desire to depart from the world and linger in oneâs own solitude is projected. From Bourdieuâs perspective, the way the protagonist handles her "symbolic capital"âyachts, classic cars, and luxury goodsâis not merely an act of luxury, but a sophisticated habitus that proves her authority and expands her territory. She does not settle for fixed power; she is a "floating sovereign" who transforms every space she occupies into her own aesthetic territory.
The line "Sovereignty gliding on the deep blue tide" in the lyrics sings of the sovereign freedom of one who does not drift with the order of the external world but moves as the law herself. Furthermore, the declaration "I am the current the water must take" symbolizes how the space she inhabits and the relationships she forms become the new order of the universe.
A sanctuary for the designer who moves along her own orbit without a fixed address. Following the gaze of the designer who endlessly expands her existence beyond the objects she owns, I hope you enjoy a time of pleasant contemplation as you discover your own unique aura through a chosen distance, rather than isolation.
