00:00Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Let's get right to your weather.
00:05Let's begin with today's update by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service.
00:10Tropical wave Inverse AL 92, located about 1,000 miles east of the Lesser Antilles as of Thursday afternoon,
00:19has become less organized and has now a 60% chance of developing into a tropical depression over the next
00:27two to seven days.
00:28But it is expected to encounter unfavorable conditions.
00:32The wave is still expected to affect the Lesser Antilles from late Friday into Saturday,
00:37bringing the potential for heavy rainfall and gusty winds, especially across the northern Windward Islands.
00:44No watches or warnings are currently in effect for Trinidad and Tobago.
00:48Now let's move on to what we can expect tonight.
00:50Tonight will be mostly fair and hazy, with a few isolated sherry spells during the early night and near dawn,
00:57with minimum temperatures at 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
01:01And by now, you should know how much I love my Fridays, so let's see what we're getting.
01:07According to the Met Office, tomorrow we will get some sunshine, we will get some hazy skies and breeze as
01:14well.
01:14And because of those disturbances I mentioned earlier, it will bring a few party cloudy intervals with isolated showers.
01:22South Trinidad, thunderstorm activity may favor your area.
01:26Daytime temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
01:32Now I hope you don't have thoughts of putting away those face masks because you will need them.
01:37A significant concentration of Saharan dust is present in the atmosphere, so you need to wear your face masks.
01:44Taking a sneak peek into the weekend now where we have more rain ahead.
01:48Saturday and Sunday will both be party cloudy, becoming cloudy during the afternoon with periods of rain that has a
01:56medium chance of becoming thundery.
01:58Tower sun times now in Trinidad.
02:00Sunrises at 5.56 and 5.52 in Tobago and sunset at 6.24 in Trinidad and 6.22 in
02:07Tobago.
02:08And if you're deciding whether to go to the beach or not, this might help.
02:12Tomorrow's seas will be moderated waves, 2 meters to 2.5 meters in open waters and near 1 meter, occasionally
02:19choppy and sheltered areas.
02:21It's now time for your tide times.
02:28Now you know exactly what happens on a Thursday, I put you to the test.
02:34Fill in the blank.
02:35A tropical wave is an area of disturbed weather that generally moves from blank to west across the tropics.
02:42Do you know the answer?
02:43Well, the answer is east, from east to west.
02:47Because the trade winds blow east to west, so tropical waves generally travel in the same direction.
02:53Well, now you know.
02:54And while that's all for weather tonight, Sachin, give us all the sports action.
