00:00What began as a parking dispute outside the Arima Magistrate's Court has now escalated into multiple criminal charges.
00:0938-year-old Catriona Resend appeared before the High Court on Wednesday, charged with assaulting a police officer,
00:17disorderly behavior, resisting arrest, dangerous driving and careless driving.
00:23The charges stem from a confrontation involving police officers attached to the Arima Traffic Department.
00:28Body camera footage captured officers approaching the woman's vehicle,
00:33which police say was parked between temporary no-parking signs placed for use by TNTech.
00:40Police attempted to issue a fixed penalty notice and instructed the driver to move the vehicle.
00:46But police say the woman refused, repeated instructions and later attempted to drive away.
00:52Investigators say the vehicle came into contact with two officers, PC Phillips and WPC Hamid, during the confrontation.
01:01Moments later, tensions escalated further and a single gunshot rang out.
01:33Police say WPC Hamid reported feeling a burning sound.

01:39According to investigators, the officer drew her firearm and, while attempting to re-holster it, one round was accidentally discharged.
01:48Both officers later sought medical attention.
01:51Resend pleaded not guilty to all charges and was granted $88,000 bail on the assault charge and $68,000
01:59bail on the remaining offenses.
02:01She was ordered to report monthly to the Four Roads Police Station.
02:06Meanwhile, her husband, Manuel Resend, was charged with disorderly behavior and obscene language.
02:12He was granted $30,000 bail when he appeared before the Arima Magistrate's Court.
