00:00You think that John Harbaugh's done the best job of any coach in the NFL this year?
00:05They're 4-2-1.
00:06It's his third quarterback.
00:08I mean, McCarthy wasn't spectacular.
00:11That run game was the reason that they ended up winning that football game.
00:15But has he done the best job of coaching so far this year?
00:18It's an incredible story with the New York Giants.
00:21Yeah, I think John Harbaugh certainly deserves a lot of praise.
00:25I mean, you mentioned it.
00:26They've had three different quarterbacks.
00:27They've won with three different quarterbacks.
00:29I think the first time in NFL history a team has won with three different starting quarterbacks
00:34before November, which speaks to the injuries, but also his willingness to say,
00:38hey, we're going to throw J.J. McCarthy in here because Jameis Winston wasn't good enough
00:42against the Saints.
00:43And to your point, J.J. McCarthy wasn't necessarily unbelievable against the Texans,
00:48but he didn't make any real mistakes.
00:50He looked poised there.
00:51It seems like that change of scenery has boded really well for him.
00:55So I think John Harbaugh deserves a ton of credit.
00:57They have the inside track to winning the NFC East, which if you had said that when Jackson
01:02Dark got hurt, no one would have expected that.
01:04So I think John Harbaugh deserves all the credit in the world.
01:07I think we're talking about him.
01:08We're talking about his former offensive coordinator, Todd Munkin, with the job he's done with the
01:12Cleveland Browns.
01:13And, you know, I think coordinator-wise, Brian Flores with the Minnesota Vikings, they're undefeated,
01:19and it's largely falling on his shoulder.
01:21So I think those three guys are the coaches that have stood out to me to start the season.
01:26You know, you mentioned it there, and I'm going to stay in the old zip code there with
01:30J.J. McCarthy, the Vikings there.
01:32You think there's an opportunity on what Brian Flores has done with that defensive side of
01:38the football?
01:39Do you think there's a shot that he's going to be a candidate again to be a head football
01:43coach?
01:43It's coming new coaching cycle here after we get through Black Monday.
01:46I mean, he's just done a whale of a job.
01:49They got rid of Jonathan Gennard.
01:51They're better.
01:52And I can't tell how they're scoring points.
01:55It's really been that defense and what has been a little bit of a running game.
01:59You think he gets another opportunity?
02:02I think he should.
02:03I know that there's a little bit of a complication with the fact that he has a lawsuit against
02:07the NFL.
02:07I don't exactly know the state of that at this point.
02:11But I think that if you are an NFL owner or a decision maker looking at your team and
02:16you're looking at your defense and you're saying, man, my defense is not performing up
02:20to par.
02:20I think that Brian Flores would be the natural guy to fix that.
02:25Every single stop he has been at, he has turned the defense from, you know, maybe a bottom
02:30tier unit into one of the best in the league.
02:32It is just so hard to deal with the consistent pressure he generates.
02:36So, you know, if you're looking at a team like we talk about the Dallas Cowboys a lot,
02:39you know, that defense has been lost for several years since Dan Quinn left there.
02:44You know, I'm not saying that Brian Flores is going to be the next coach of the Dallas
02:47Cowboys, but if I'm running a team like that and I'm looking and I'm saying to myself, man,
02:52if I could get Brian Flores in here to turn around that unit where I already have a good
02:55offense, I would do it.
02:57So I think he's going to get an opportunity eventually.
02:59It's just a matter of when it will happen.
03:01And if there's any ongoing litigation against the NFL that could, you know, hamper his chances
03:06of doing it.
03:07But I think a team will eventually look at him and say, we got to do this.
03:10It's our best option to turn ourselves into a contender.
