00:00May I say the man who has the biggest ego in the history of the National Football League at head
00:06coach is Bears head coach Ben Johnson.
00:10I think he put that other quarterback in just to prove a point that I could win a football game,
00:15albeit it's my boy Chris's Jets.
00:19But I got to tell you, man, he goes, I can put anybody in there.
00:22We're going to win a football game, and they do.
00:24I mean, he's some coach here.
00:26I mean, were you shocked they went with the backup quarterback instead of Case Keenum?
00:31I was a little surprised just because Case Keenum had looked so efficient in that Monday night football game.
00:37He had a really good command of the offense, and I get it.
00:40Ben Johnson's probably looking at it and saying, you know, the order of my depth chart coming into the year,
00:45Tyson Bajan was my number two guy.
00:46So I want to give him that chance to hold on to that role.
00:49To your point, I do think it is a little bit of a feather in his cap, right, to say,
00:53hey, I've already won a game this season with three different starting quarterbacks.
00:55So you might be on to a little something there.
00:58But I, you know, I think Bajan or Keenum, the offense would have operated in a similar manner because they're
01:04both kind of distributors, game manager types.
01:06And really, against the Jets, Ben Johnson just leaned heavily on the running game.
01:10I think Kyle Manunga had like 30 carries, and they benched DeAndre Swift after he fumbled and didn't really need
01:16to use him again in that game.
01:17So that Bears offense has just proven already it can win in a multitude of ways four weeks into the
01:23season.
01:24So their fans should be excited about what Ben Johnson is building there because, hey, if Caleb can get healthy
01:30and just be back to full strength and the Bears can be afloat near the top of the division,
01:34they might have a chance to repeat as NFC North champions, which, you know, I thought they might take a
01:38step back coming into this year just because of that defense.
01:40But Dennis Allen's doing a fantastic job coaching up that unit.
01:44No question about it, too.
01:46And you'd have to think that, you know, with the Bears and what they did and where they're going right
01:51now, there's no question there.
01:52I agree with you.
01:52I think they're going to be the top dog in the NFC North there.
01:5649ers and Broncos.
01:58What a feather in the cap for Kyle Shanahan to win against his dad's former team, the Denver Broncos.
02:04And in the process, he ends up coaching more games now than the legendary Bill Walsh.
02:10Is this the best team in football right now, the 49ers?
02:14I think you can make a case for it.
02:16At the very least, the coaching job Kyle Shanahan has probably has done has probably been the best so far
02:21just because the 49ers have had a lot of injuries.
02:25I mean, we talk about it every year.
02:26They seemingly have a boatload of injuries every single season, but they've operated really at full efficiency throughout the whole
02:33year.
02:34I think that they're just looking really great.
02:36Brock Purdy's playing some of the best football of his career.
02:39But, you know, coming out of this game, I got to say, I'm disappointed in the Denver Broncos.
02:43They just can't get anything going on that offensive side of the ball.
02:47I thought they would have a chance to maybe establish the running game against this 49ers team a little bit
02:51more because the 49ers have had so many injuries along that defensive line.
02:56And I know that the linebackers, Fred Warner, he's going to clean that up.
03:00So is Dre Greenlaw.
03:01It was a big revenge game against the Broncos for him because he spent last season in Denver, evidently wasn't
03:06a fan of it based off how he reacted to that win.
03:09But, you know, I kind of wanted the Broncos to establish the ground game.
03:13They didn't do it.
03:14Bo Nix threw, I think, 10 passes to his running back, RJ Harvey.
03:18He just doesn't seem to be able to push the ball downfield.
03:21So I think Sean Payton really needs to take a look at this team and say, we have to find
03:25a strength on offense that we can continually look to and make our team operate better.
03:31But I'm a little bit worried about them right now because with Patrick Sertain out, too, that defense is going
03:35to change how they operate.
03:37And that could be a big negative for them as they sit at two and two.
03:40We'll see you next time.
