00:04I mean, that was a pretty good performance offensively.

00:09but Bears look like they're going to be formidable again.

00:17and yet multiple times I was turning people, I'm like,
00:21hey, there's a lot of points in this game.
00:23Like, it didn't feel real.
00:24Like, there's 100 points on the board in this NFL game here
00:30to give up 37 and win by a gazillion.
00:35Like, if you told people who took Carolina plus the three,
00:37you're going to score 37, they'd be like,
00:39ooh, I need to double up, maybe triple up here.
00:42It puts Caleb immediately in MVP conversations
00:46because if this is going to be what goes on, then how is he not?
00:53I also, I don't want to crush the defense
00:55because you sometimes play to the environment,
00:59and if it's just going to be this shoot-em-out track meet,
01:03like, at the end of the day, you gave up 22 less than your opponent here.
01:10I guess if I were to try and offer up the other side of it,
01:14Ben Johnson very clearly is happy to run it up
01:17and is not scared to use trick plays
01:21in a game he completely has his handle on
01:25where maybe, hey, let's save those for when we need those.
01:29So Chicago maybe will take over what Ben Johnson used to do
01:33when he was with Detroit,
01:34which they were the best bullies on the block.
01:36If they played a team they were better than,
01:38they rolled them.
01:40They'd win by 20,
01:41and then the point differential would look great,
01:42but when they got up against teams that they were level then,
01:47things just looked very, very different here.
01:50So it's definitely a great win for the Bears,
01:52but as somebody who didn't think they would make the playoffs,
01:54I'm not filled with regret following the game.

02:03and Dan Campbell and letting Ben Johnson leave?
02:06Because I'll tell you what, that Lions team,
02:08Kevin Day don't look the same.
02:10I mean, ever since he's not been in that organization,
02:14and it's almost like they carried that bravado over to Chicago now,
02:18and it looks like Chicago has that bravado now
02:21inside that building or that swagger.
02:23Boy, I know it's Monday morning quarterbacking here,
02:26but boy, they really took the heart and soul
02:29a little bit away from Detroit, in my opinion.

02:32So I really like the Lions this year, Dan.
02:35I actually picked them and bet them to win the Super Bowl.
02:38I think that week one is a very tricky game
02:43because I don't want to sit here and be like,
02:44hey, they looked awesome because that's not true.
02:46They also got up 21-0 against a team that looked lifeless.
02:51They're already a questionable defense,
02:53and they are missing their two-star safeties,
02:55and they're like, sick.
02:56We'll play prevent defense, and sometimes that burns you,
02:59and it burned them because then all of a sudden they're like,
03:00oh, no, we're in a real game here,
03:02and they couldn't get a stop,
03:05and Jared Goff was not great in this game.

03:12Jameer Gibbs was still – Jameer Gibbs averaged more yards per rush.
03:15Think about how many goal line carries he had, right?
03:17So that kind of shrinks what's available to you.
03:20I think if you're Detroit, you just had to stack a win here
03:27because you have two of your four best defensive players on IR
03:32to start the season.
03:33You are – and you have the Bills on deck.
03:36Thursday night in Buffalo, they opened that stadium.
03:38Like, the Bears look much better.
03:40I mean, I think – you could tell me the Packers and Vikings also look better
03:44because of the weirdness of that football game,
03:46but the Lions are, I think, right now in results mode as much as any team
03:52because being, like – being the one seed is very important.
03:55Keeping Goff out, you know, indoors is very important there.
03:58So I think he'll take it even if it wasn't pretty.
