00:00A sea of purple briefs takes over Johannesburg.
00:03Men hit the streets on Friday for the Holla Deardevil Run,
00:08raising awareness about prostate cancer,
00:11now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in South Africa.
00:14But beyond the laughs and bold outfits, the message is serious.
00:19Early awareness can save lives.
00:21It's very important to me to be here today because of cancer awareness,
00:27especially prostate cancer.
00:28I lost two brothers because of prostate cancer.
00:34So it was very important to me to be here today,
00:37no matter how condition of the weather is.
00:39It's very hot in Gauteng, but I decided to be part of this.
00:43My advice men is to talk about what they're going through.
00:46If they find any symptoms regarding their body changes, go to the doctor.
00:52So if you suspect prostate cancer, the doctor will do some tests
00:57and then you'll do your PSA.
00:59So what I can advise to men is don't be scared to talk,
01:03don't be shy to talk.
01:04Be open and speak about what you're going through.
01:09Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in South Africa,
01:14with over 4,000 new cases diagnosed annually.
