00:00Let's talk about Volkov right now.
00:03So Alexander Volkov, he wasn't happy that Josh Hokett sort of got fast-tracked to a title fight.
00:12But, you know, if you're Volkov, you've got to do more and in a more entertaining fashion.
00:18Hokett kind of entertained his way into this thing.
00:22But due to the lack of depth in the heavyweight division, Volkov is sort of lurking.
00:28And if he keeps winning, he is eventually going to get a title fight
00:31because there's not that many other, too many contenders.
00:35Yeah, and I mean, Volkov could be mad that both guys are in this spot
00:38because if you go back and watch Volkov versus Gon the second time, Volkov won that fight.
00:44I don't care who you are. Volkov won that fight against Gon.
00:48And he should have got his hand raised there.
00:51To me, that was a robbery.
00:53I think Volkov should be on a pretty big winning streak right now.
00:56You know, Gon got the win there, kept his streak alive, and, you know, now he's made his way into,
01:02you know, being a champion.
01:04But Volkov could honestly be mad about both guys.
01:07You know, he'd be mad if Hokett got fast-tracked, and he could be mad that Gon even got put
01:11in the spots he was in
01:12because he got that split decision win over him, which I really don't think should have went that way.
01:17I thought Volkov won that fight, controlled it the whole time.
01:21And, you know, it was relatively competitive, but to me, it was pretty clear when they went to the scorecards.
01:27You know, the commentators thought Volkov won.
01:31Gon thought Volkov won.
01:32Gon didn't stay in the octagon after they announced him that he won because he thought he lost.
01:37So Volkov really has a claim to the title, and he's a very good fighter.
01:43I mean, he's one of the biggest guys that we've ever seen in MMA, a very tall guy.
01:48He's always got reach and, you know, length on everybody.
01:51And I think in this fight here, two guys that are, you know, very strong in the clinch, you know,
01:58they basically almost triple up their opponents in the clinch.
02:00So it's going to kind of come down to who wins the clinch battle.
02:03But to me, I feel like Volkov's a guy that's been there, done that.
02:07And overall, Volkov is the one that's going to get his hand raised in this one.
02:12Volkov's 37 now.
02:13But he seems to be kind of hitting his peak, right?
02:18Like, he has been around a while, yet he really is in a zone right now.
02:22And he really has won a lot of fights in the UFC.
02:26I mean, he lost to Tom Aspinall.
02:28You talked about the Gon fight that you think, you know, you say, you know,
02:31he should have gotten his hand raised in.
02:35Like I said, guys, he's in line for a title shot.
02:38It's coming up.
02:39Like, he wins this fight, and he's probably going to get the winner
02:43of Hulk getting gone after the fact.
02:45So Volkov has put himself in a good position.
02:48Oddsmakers are in love with him, though, Tom.
02:50Minus 125.
02:51Yeah, I mean, it's closely lined.
02:53And, you know, to be fair, it is a close, close fight.
02:56I mean, Rizvan, since joining the UFC, has shown that he's a very good fighter himself.
03:00I mean, his debut, he lost to Curtis Blades, but you could argue he won that fight as well.
03:06I was on Blades there, and I wasn't confident when they went to the scorecards.
03:09I thought Blades lost.
03:11So, I mean, this is a really good fight.
03:13Two guys that are very strong.
03:15You know, Rizvan's got the grappling advantage.
03:17He could go to that route.
03:19But overall, I think this fight's going to come down to who's in the clinch.
03:23And to me, I think Volkov gets it done.
