00:00All right, we've got the co-main event, Peter Yawn, another legend of the sport.
00:06This is a trilogy fight, guys.
00:09Peter Yawn won the last time that they fought and said he wasn't 100% the first time,
00:17that he was injured the first time, and Davoshele fought a million fights at the time when he lost.
00:23So this is almost like, you know, equal ground for them right now.
00:26The rubber match with the bragging rights and the belt at stake here for these two.
00:35Yeah, and you can make an excuse for both guys.
00:38You know, Yawn had a fight, had a broken hand in the first fight, didn't do much.
00:42You know, Merab pretty much, you know, 50-45 across the board.
00:48Pretty much, you know, did what he wanted to do in that fight.
00:50And then the next fight, you know, Merab had fought.
00:53It was his fourth title fight in a year.
00:56Which is something you don't see.
00:58Weight cuts within about two months of each other, which is also very tough.
01:02I don't care who you are, it's tough.
01:05You know, Merab's known for his cardio and his toughness.
01:07But you're making that many weight cuts in a year.
01:09You're making that many weight cuts in a short period of time.
01:13And then fighting a guy like Yawn, who came into that fight healthy.
01:16Yawn, you know, showed the takedown defense.
01:18He showed the striking.
01:19The striking was incredible in that fight.
01:21So you can kind of make an excuse for both guys for the first two fights.
01:26Now, coming into this one, you wonder, what's the excuse here?
01:30And the one thing that stands out to me and that scares me a lot, because at first I really
01:35thought, you know,
01:36after these guys have fought, you know, 10 rounds against each other, Yawn really looks like the better fighter.
01:42But Yawn had back surgery in January, and he had to go under the knife a couple times.
01:49And back surgery really scares me with any fighter, with any athlete.
01:53It's just one of those things that you don't really know how guys are going to come back from that.
01:57So, while I do think Yawn has the more well-rounded skill set, he definitely has a striking advantage.
02:05I think if he's compromised at all with that back coming into this one, this fight's very close.
02:12And, you know, as we talked about previously, we don't see title fights, you know, two title fights, both champions
02:18winning on the same card.
02:19And I feel like if there's going to be a contender that takes the belt, it's going to be Marab.
02:28Marab is the underdog here.
02:29The odds for the first fight to the second fight shifted pretty dramatically.
02:33They kind of shifted here.
02:35I feel like I'm leaning Marab, but the confidence is not high, because after what Yawn did to him in
02:42the second fight, it is really hard to pull that trigger.
02:46You know, it is attractive.
02:48It is sitting right there.
02:49And what is a toss-up fight?
02:51It's a good point that you bring up, too, as far as backs are concerned, with any athlete, right?
02:56You'd almost rather something break.
02:57So, you know, back issues always linger.
03:00And if you're a fighter, who really knows after the fact?
