00:05So, Tom, as we were going into the break, I brought up that these are just super athletic heavyweights, right?
00:12Cyril God, obviously an amazing athlete, and that's the thing that makes Aspinall his quickness,
00:17his athleticism, that for such a big man that has been the decisive difference for him
00:26and why he just sort of murders people, and he has been murdering people, like, just point blank.
00:32I mean, this guy just finishes you off in a minute.
00:35Look, you look at his losses, too, guys, very John Jones-like, right?
00:38John Jones never really lost.
00:39He was killing Matt Hamill, so he got hit with the illegal elbow loss.
00:45Aspinall's been hit with an illegal elbow loss in his career, and his leg gave out once, right?
00:52And he got revenge on that. He had a leg injury in the octagon.
00:56But this guy, you know what? People hype up every fighter is the greatest ever in all this.
01:02I'm not saying this guy's the greatest ever, but he is damn good.
01:07Yeah, I mean, Aspinall, he's one of the best that we've seen in a long time.
01:11I mean, you know, D.C., it would have been nice to see D.C.'s run at heavyweight if he was a little bit younger.
01:18It wasn't the COVID times.
01:19You know, Stipe was obviously great, Cain Velasquez.
01:23But Aspinall, he's explosive, he's fast, he's big, he's got grappling, he's got good submissions, the power's there.
01:33Everything you look for in a heavyweight fighter, everything you look for in any kind of fighter is kind of what Tom Aspinall has.
01:39The only real question mark with him is his cardio.
01:42I mean, obviously, when you're bigger, faster, and stronger than everybody, and you knock everybody out in the first round, there's that question, Michael, what happens if the fight gets into the second, third, and fourth rounds?
01:52But so far, from everything I've seen, the guy seems to train hard, the guy seems to, you know, do everything the right way.
02:01And Tom Aspinall, I feel bad for him because he's got, you know, he could have a title defense or two on his resume, but, you know, he's got an interim title defense because John Jones was holding the real belt at the time.
02:15So, his career could look a hell of a lot better, so hopefully he can, you know, come out here.
02:21He's never got that big, big money fight, right, for as good as he is.
02:23He hasn't really cashed in, that big money fight.
02:26Yeah, right.
02:27And this is a shot for him to defend the actual belt.
02:31You know, we talked about the John Jones thing, maybe get the John Jones fight in the future, next, you know, in the summer.
02:37So, he's got an opportunity here, but from everything I've seen, the guy, he's got all the tools, you know, he speaks well, he's a smart guy.
02:48He's kind of what you're looking for as a heavyweight champ, and, you know, I think, I feel like he's in a good spot this weekend.
