00:00It's really hard, if you're a purist and you're a fight fan,

00:04it's really hard not to be a big fan of what Alex Pereira does.

00:08He fights in different weight classes.

00:10He fights four times a year.

00:12He'll fight anybody, anywhere, in any weight class, Alex Pereira.

00:16And he does it well.

00:17Like I said, with the modern fighters,

00:19this guy really has become my favorite fighter

00:21because of how good he is

00:23and because he is willing to fight anybody at any time.

00:28Yeah, he's an absolute stud.

00:30And I mean, what a performance that was on Saturday.

00:32Like just from the sound of the, you know, Bruce Buffer going,

00:35you know, let's, you know, let's get in the fight started.

00:38Alex Pereira was like a man on a mission.

00:40You just saw the look in his face, really aggressive

00:42and comes out there and makes short work of Megaman and Kaliyev.

00:45Like, I don't think, people knew that Pereira could knock out Megaman and Kaliyev.

00:49Got to clarify that.

00:51But I don't think anyone thought he was just going to run through him.

00:53Like it reminded me a little bit of Jon Jones and Cyril Gaon.

00:55I know that fight ended in submission, but it just ended so quickly.

00:58Like Pereira just went in there, took his lunch money, got the belt, got out.

01:02I think, Gabe, I think this was his most impressive win.

01:04You think of all the wins he's had in his career, knocking out Adesanya,

01:08you know, beating Yuri Prohaska twice, who we saw in this card as well.

01:11This to me was the most impressive because not only did he just run through Ankalyev,

01:15but it's not like Ankalyev's an older fighter or someone that's passed his prime.

01:18Ankalyev's in the prime of his career right now.

01:20He already had a win over Pereira earlier this year.

01:22And, you know, Alex Pereira didn't care about any of that.

01:25He goes in there, he makes a statement, and he's now the champion.

01:28Incredible performance from Alex Pereira in the main event last week.

01:30He's now the champion.
