01:25built them and then getting it to balance so it wasn't too difficult not too easy but the economy
01:31was right there wasn't too much gold or not enough gold and it also had an overarching storyline that
01:37was compelling and you wanted to find out what happened next so creating that game book concept
01:41for the first one the warlock of fire type mountain was perhaps the most difficult one
01:45and it became easier over the time and here i am 40 odd years later still writing them i'm just
01:52about start writing a new one so what am i doing i don't know
02:01it was mainly toby garden his team and we were publishers so we funded the development and
02:07and the launch of the game and gave him lots of encouragement we had lots of meetings about it but
02:13really the creative control came from from core design and and toby and the team
02:23the games the video games industry had a bit of a hard time in recent times i think it was
02:26an
02:27overproduction of of content during the pandemic and that's been a slight correction games have also
02:32become very very expensive in in the triple a categories to to produce well if the market can't
02:39sustain the sales then it's too much but ai is an opportunity to use it as a as a tool
02:45but not to
02:46replace human creativity i don't think you can ever do that you have to be responsible in the way you
02:51use ai for testing for doing low level graphics um whereas the creative people in in the teams can
02:59use it as a tool much in the way of technology is always being used as a tool so it
03:03has to be
03:04seen i think is a good thing um ai is being used in great ways for for research into into
03:12into diseases around the world demis asabis founder of deep mind started his life in video games
03:19i know him well and he's through his through deep mind and alpha foal is being able to 3d model
03:26every
03:26protein in the world 200 million of them and ultimately that can be used to combat all the
03:32diseases that infects mankind today so if you use ai in a responsible way it should be seen as a
03:39as a
03:39as an amazing thing the color my child is blue because of manchester city oh man cool cool cool
