00:00The big news today was that Jalen Hurts will miss the rest of the 2026 season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
00:08Now they have found multiple clots in his lungs.

00:25and it's based in Philly, and we talk a lot of Eagles.
00:28The storyline is wild here.
00:31So they practiced him.
00:32They got on an airplane.
00:34They traveled all the way to England, and when they landed, they ended up looking and doing an ultrasound on
00:42his calf.
00:43He had been complaining about an injury from the Rams game on his calf.
00:48Well, the ultrasound showed up, and it showed that there was a blood clot.
00:53They took him to the hospital where he sat for four hours.
00:58Then on top of that, they told him, listen, on that plane flight, don't sleep because it could facilitate that
01:08clot to go deeper.
01:10So help me out here.
01:12And again, I'm not a doctor.
01:14I'm just playing one on TV here.
01:16So it was not okay to sleep, but it was okay to play a football game, a four-hour football
01:24game,
01:24and then get on an airplane and travel back and then practice Monday, Wednesday.
01:32That's when they initially did the second ultrasound and found it and shut him down for the upcoming game that
01:41he just missed against the Panthers.
01:43Listen, I don't know anything about procedures.
01:46I don't know what the protocol is.
01:48I'm sure the NFL Players Association is going to be all over this because no question,
01:53Nicole Lynn from Clutch Sports, the president of Clutch Sports, has theoretically shut him down for the remainder of the
02:00season.
02:01They didn't get the proper information that they were needing from the Eagles and from the league on this.
02:08So they just decided 2026 is over for Jalen Hurts.
02:13This is a peculiar place for the Eagles and Jalen Hurts and Clutch Sports.
02:19There's only $20 million that is guaranteed on his contract moving forward.
02:25There's no way on the planet that Nicole Lynn is going to allow Jalen Hurts to go into a 2027
02:32season not having a new contract extension.
02:35And many people were talking in Philadelphia, if this is even the future of where Philly wants to go is
02:41with Jalen Hurts.
02:42What a tough situation because right now with the body of work that he has put in 2026,
02:49that man is not a $60 million a year player.
02:53So what decisions you have to make there?
02:56Now, on top of that, Nick Sirianni status.

03:11Or you can even think maybe even less because the voices in the room stopped listening to the main voice

03:19Let's not, you know, pump the brakes here and look at how the Eagles have operated in the past.
03:24They fired Andy Reid.
03:25They fired a Super Bowl champion coach in Doug Peterson.
03:30Nick Sirianni is also in that conversation.
03:33And one thing that is now being exposed with both Jalen Hurts and with Nick Sirianni, that roster is not
03:40very good.
03:41Howie Roseman, the last two years, has missed on numerous draft picks and, on top of that, free agents.
03:49John Campbell's not looking like the first-round pick everyone thought coming out of Alabama, that he was going to
03:54make the impact.
03:55It's been a downgrade then moving off of N'Kobe Dean.
03:58Dean's out in Las Vegas kicking ass right now.
04:01The situation with Jonathan Grenard, he's in and out of the lineup.
04:04This organization right now is in flux.
04:09What is the future going to be for both Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni?
04:14Could they potentially not be both back starting the 27th season?
04:19There is a great chance that that may happen.
04:22Maybe one of them doesn't come back.
04:24Are you really going to start all over again?
04:27How many coordinators has Hurts had since he's been in Philadelphia?
04:32Six?
04:32And now you're going to have another head coach with a whole new system?
04:37Each and every single year we have gone through this process.
04:41I would say this to you.
04:43The quarterback is a unique player.
04:46Is he an elite player?
04:48He's not.
04:49He's unique.
04:50He's got a different set of tools in his box that he can go to and how he wins games.
04:57Is he going to sit back and dissect secondaries?
05:01Is he going to be a Joe Burrow?
05:03Is he going to be a Josh Allen?
05:05He's not that kind of player.
05:06But the one thing that he is, he's smart and he can win football games.
05:11And his resume speaks to it.
05:13Remember, the things that Jalen Hurts has done already in Philly, he's been paid.
05:19Is he the next and is that the future of the Philadelphia Eagles?
05:25Is that where Philly wants to land and take off with that quarterback?
05:30And is Nick Sirianni part of that?
