00:00There's something brewing in Philadelphia, and it ain't good, folks.

00:04Seth Joyner's a former all-star, all-pro linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles,

00:08a friend of the show as well, and he's doing some sports talk in Philadelphia now,

00:13and he's not a guy that minces his words.

00:15He tells you the way he sees it.

00:16You don't have to agree with him, but he's one of those guys

00:18that he don't give a damn what you think about him, right?

00:20Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

00:21Yeah, I like Seth Joyner a lot.

00:23In any event, Seth Joyner, I saw a podcast he was on yesterday,

00:27and he says, I guess, he does a show with what he refers to as an Eagles insider,

00:31but he didn't name the person, so I'm not sure who the person is,

00:34nor do I care who the person is.

00:36Seth Joyner's got credibility when he talks about the Eagles having played for them,

00:40and, of course, he, I guess, does a show with some guy who's regarded

00:43as an insider for Philadelphia, and Seth Joyner came out yesterday

00:47and said that there is both a problem in the locker room

00:51from the players towards Jalen Hurts

00:54and a consternation from the owner towards Jalen Hurts,

01:00and I would have dismissed this if it wasn't Seth Joyner

01:04or some, like, you know, talk show hack looking for clicks,

01:07that kind of thing.

01:08That's not who Seth Joyner is.

01:10Eh, to me, he's not.

01:12Maybe you know better and what he does better from a professional standpoint.

01:16I just remember him as a player, and he's been a friend of mine on shows,

01:19you know, throughout the last couple years.

01:21So if you have something to say about Seth Joyner, we'll give you a chance

01:24to say that in just a second.

01:25But if Seth Joyner and an alleged Eagle Insider is telling you

01:29that the team is turning on Jalen Hurts, number one, I find that fascinating

01:35because I would put Jalen Hurts up against every quarterback pretty much

01:39in the NFL.

01:40I think he's a top-five quarterback.

01:42I'd put his stats up against virtually every other quarterback in the NFL,

01:46and my ire would be towards Kevin Petullo, the new offensive coordinator,

01:52not towards Jalen Hurts.

01:54But if the owner is now upset with Jalen Hurts, and according to Seth Joyner,

01:59dudes in the locker room are now upset with Jalen Hurts,

02:03maybe there's something going on.

02:04Here's the deal with that.

02:06Seth Joyner does have credibility, but he is the most negative person

02:09I've ever met in my life.

02:10Okay.

02:10By a wide margin.

02:11Do you think he's an anti-Eagle type of guy?

02:14If you win 40 to nothing, it should have been 50 to nothing.

02:19There's always something.

02:20Okay.

02:21Here's the part that is true.

02:24Jalen Hurts' personality is difficult for some people.

02:27Because he's quiet?

02:28No, because he only cares about one thing, and he really lives it.

02:33Just winning.

02:34Which I would think all of us would want from our quarterback.

02:37But the thing is, yes, but in practice, when you're going through something,

02:41you know what Jalen Hurts is thinking about?

02:43Winning.

02:43Right.

02:44If you're going through something, this, that, whatever it is,

02:46when you're up there, you know what Jalen Hurts is thinking about?

02:48Winning.

02:49All the time.

02:50And for some people.

02:51Hold on.

02:51So, you're saying that, I want to make sure,

02:54I don't want to put words in your mouth,

02:55that because his sole focus is winning a game, no matter how.

03:01No matter how.

03:01If it's me handing it off, great.

03:03If it's me throwing it, great.

03:04If it's the defense, whatever.

03:05Special teams, 7-6, 40 to nothing, don't matter.

03:09Don't matter.

03:09As long as we win, let's move on to the next.

03:12My stats don't mean anything to me.

03:14The only thing that matters is a W over an L.

03:16And other people in the organization have a problem with that?

03:20Because as a human, he also doesn't care about your stats.

03:23So, let's say you're a pending free agent.

03:25And you need those touches to get your money.

03:27Sure.

03:27You know what he's thinking about?

03:28Winning.

03:29Only winning.

03:30And when you try to get him to give a little bit, he's not.

03:33He's rigid that way.

03:34And some people love it.

03:36In a 53-man room with 52 other guys, there will always be 10 to 15 that say that guy's weak.

03:43I find that fascinating because you have won, right?

03:46You just won a Super Bowl.

03:47You went to another Super Bowl with him as a younger player, obviously.

03:51And damn near beat the Kansas City Chiefs if not for the officials helping Kansas City out.

03:55And he is connected to the Jordan brand, as we know quite famously, right?

04:00And they did those sweatshirts or T-shirts afterwards.

04:02Love Hurts.

04:03Sold like crazy.

04:04Sold like crazy.

04:05And to me, as a guy that's never had a dude like that on my favorite team or a talent like that,

04:12I would sign up for Jalen Hurts, as a lot of teams would, I think, you know, twice on Sunday.

04:19Every day of the weekend, twice on Sunday.

04:21That's right.

04:21I got to get that eventually.

04:22That's right.

04:23That fascinates me.

04:24That's such a loser mentality.

04:26Like, hey, it's great that we won, but I only have three targets.

04:30That's like an A.J. Brown type thing.

04:32Now, A.J.'s got his money.

04:33Right.

04:33So he's not looking for a new contract.

04:35He's good financially.

04:36Devontae Smith's gotten paid.

04:38Saquon's gotten paid.

04:39Like, the big guys have gotten their dough.

04:42The offensive line pretty much has been all paid.

04:45Yeah, left tackle, left guard.

04:46So what are people bitching about?

04:47But the other part is people also want to feel like they contributed.

04:50And this is where Jalen Hurts could give just a little bit.

04:55After the game, you want to feel like everybody played a role in it.

04:58And Hurts does not entertain those kind of things.

05:01I think it's great, though.

05:02Because he's laser focused on winning.

05:03Like, to me, that's why you want a Super Bowl.

05:06And look, I know if I put his yards up right now, the guys brought it up, it's not close to being in the tops of the league.

05:12No way.

05:13But they only got two losses.

05:15I know they weren't pretty when they beat Green Bay.

05:17But they won.

05:18This game, you know, last week, this was a couple days ago, wasn't pretty.

05:22But the Lions were scoring 30 points a game.

05:24They held them to nine.

05:25Like, the Eagles' defense has become dominant if you saw the game a couple nights ago, right?
