Delhi Police denied permission for a planned gathering at Central Park in Connaught Place, citing major traffic disruptions in the heart of the national capital. Authorities stated that the unauthorised assembly could inconvenience peak-hour commuters, spill over into high-security zones, and impede emergency vehicle movement through narrow lanes. Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita remain enforced in the area, with police warning of legal action under Section 223 against violations. Officials further noted that organisers had not sought prior permission and highlighted previous protests by the group that resulted in law-and-order disruptions.

00:01So in case you're wondering why did Delhi police deny permission to even this protest
00:05which was a call up to land up at Central Park by Abhijit Dipke, the CJP founder, here's why.
00:11Now the reason that you can see a heavy police deployment there and around Central Park,
00:16according to the police, there could have been a traffic disruption because this is
00:19right in the heart of National Capital. Unauthorized gathering can disrupt traffic.
00:24If you know it's authorized, it's allowed, you'll know exactly where to go, what to do,
00:27but unauthorized, you cannot really know if it goes out of control.
00:31According to the police, the gathering will cause an inconvenience,
00:35inconvenience, I correct myself, to the commuters, especially on a working day at a time,
00:40especially when people are heading back to their home.
00:42The crowd could spill over into protected zones.
00:45Eventually we also understand Codot Place is then connected to certain areas which are the VVIP zones.
00:51Crowd could affect public order and safety is what the police is claiming.
00:56Narrow lanes may restrict ambulance movement, in case required, into some of these areas.
01:02Gathering could obstruct emergency services is the reason given by the Delhi police to deny services.
01:07And then Section 163 BNS, which is a prohibitory order, which is currently in force,
01:12and that large gatherings cannot really be permitted in areas like this.
01:16And that violation can invite action under Section 223 of the BNS, which is the new law.
01:24No nod for the rally. Why is that?
01:26No permission was sought for the gathering.
01:29So when this clarion call was made by Abhijit Dipki, according to the police,
01:32but you didn't take any permission, how are you deciding on this protest?
01:37Unauthorized risk could lead to law and order situation in that area, especially which is a busy marketplace.
01:45Quoting the previous Cockroach Janata Party protest, Delhi police says,
01:48earlier protests did disrupt public order.
01:51It led to law and order issues.
01:53Earlier protests led to even violence and property damage.
01:56What is the assurance that it will not happen in a busy marketplace like a nod place,
02:01even though Abhijit Dipki maintained that it is going to be peaceful,
02:05they only want tirangas to be hoisted at Central Park.
