00:05hi everyone I'm going to be showing you how to make this cute little face scrubby and the
00:12written tutorial is on my website so be sure to follow along with the video with the written
00:18pattern so that it's easy to follow now let's get started what you'll need is some 100% cotton yarn
00:30I really like the Lily sugar and cream yarn and you're going to need a matching hook for this the
00:39weight of yarn that you use so with this medium weight for yarn I'm using a six millimeter hook
00:45and let's get started so what you're gonna do first for round one is make a magic ring like so
00:56and let me just get these out of the way so that it's visually less distracting here we go all
01:04right
01:06so magic ring to start in the magic ring you're going to chain one so getting ready I'm gonna chain
01:18one
01:19and then you're going to insert six of the little puff stitches that I've detailed on my site so
01:27here's what it looks like yarn over go in pull one out that's one yarn over pull in pull one
01:37out two
01:38and yarn over go in pull one out three so do that three times like so you're an over pull
01:47all the way
01:48through all those loops oops there we go all right and then you're going to do a chain to close
02:00off that
02:01puff now this is a mini puff normally for other puff stitches that I use I would do the hooking
02:12over four
02:13times instead of three but I find that these mini poofs are a lot easier and definitely simpler to pull
02:22through and the size works for this pattern so let's make five more puffs on this magic ring pull in
02:31and that's one two three pull them up yarn over and then pull through all of those loops you might
02:47have to
02:47wiggle your hook a little bit to get across chain there's my second puff next one yarn over go in
02:59one
03:03two three yarn over and pull in those puffs chain three more puffs to make there so now that you've
03:19put six puffs on your
03:21um magic ring you're going to close the ring pull it pull it and see how my puffs just kind
03:30of scrunched together
03:33now you're going to close up this magic ring by putting a slip stitch on the first um chain on
03:42top of the first puff
03:43which is right here so I'm going to insert my hook into the chain on the first puff
03:50yarn over and do a slip stitch like so here's my cute little puff so far it looks like a
03:59flower
04:01now for the next round um you're going to chain one
04:07and add a single crochet to um the top of the puff oops I'm sorry excuse me chain one and
04:18um what you're
04:19going to do next is insert a puff on the top of each puff and in that chain one space
04:28around okay
04:29so here's what it'll look like you're going to make a puff up here in that very first
04:38um stitch on top of the puff so that's one
04:47pull out two and one more
04:55three I like to pull on my hook a little bit so I could get them all
04:59um lined up to be the same height you're going over and wiggle your hook through
05:08chain to close there's one puff now you're going to put another puff in the first uh chain one space
05:27close it with a chain
05:31and next one would go on top of this second puff in the previous row round up here
05:39one two three
05:55chain
05:56then in that chain one space
05:59one
06:01two
06:03three
06:09all right
06:11chain to close
06:13and you kind of get the drill so I'm going to go through this part a little faster
06:17all right
06:19all right
06:44all right
06:47so now that you've um finished all 12 of the poofs in the second round what you're going to do
06:55is to join with a slip stitch in that first um on top of that first puff so I'm going
07:04to
07:05find that chain that first chain
07:10insert my hook and do a slip stitch there we go
07:16so that's my first
07:19I'm sorry that's my second round of puffs
07:22now I'm going to go ahead and do the third round of puffs
07:33chain one
07:34chain one to start and it's pretty much the same as the previous round
07:39because you're going to insert a puff on top of each
07:43puff and one in the chain one space
07:47so you're going to end up with 24 puffs in the third round
07:53I'm going to do the first couple slowly and then I'll speed through the rest of the round
07:59so I don't bore you to death
08:00so let's get started on that first stitch right here
08:06yarn over
08:08insert your hook pull out
08:11one
08:15two
08:17and
08:19three
08:20yarn over pull through all of them
08:23chain to close your puff
08:30all right so now I'm going to speed through the rest of this round
09:04at the very end here I finished this round three with 24 puff stitches
09:12I'm going to join with a slip stitch to the first chain on my first puff
09:18I mean on my first puff sorry this is a bath poof and these are puff stitches
09:24got to get my words right
09:26okay slip stitch here
09:32there and now to finish off my um bath poof
09:37I oh gosh I really got to get my words right
09:41I I'm making a bath poof as part of this set
09:44here's what it looks like and this is a face scrubby
09:48okay excuse me I'm totally discombobulated today
09:52okay all right so to finish this off what you're going to do is do one more
09:57round and all that's going to happen this round
10:01is a single crochet in each of these stitches around
10:07so I'm going to chain one to start and I'm going to insert a single crochet in
10:14the same stitch which is on top of that poof
10:18uh on top of that puff sorry
10:23oops
10:26chain okay single crochet on top of that puff
10:30and in the chain one space do a single crochet as well
10:34single crochet on the puff single crochet in the chain one space
10:43in the puff
10:47in the chain one space
10:51and around so I'm going to go through this part quickly
11:11I just finished single crocheting around so I'm going to join this round with a slip stitch to that first
11:21stitch
11:22the first stitch is the first single crochet
11:24so I'm going to insert my hook into the first single crochet
11:32and join with that slip stitch
11:35all right and after that you can cut off your yarn
11:40fasten off
11:42and you're going to weave in the ends here weave in this end and then pull back this yarn end
11:49to weave in as well
11:50and then you've got yourself a cute little face scrubby
11:55so I'll go ahead and weave that in and then you'll see all three of them together
12:00all right thank you so much for watching my tutorial and again it will be helpful
12:05um to go ahead and crochet this along with the written pattern which is on my website
