00:03He has clearly shown us that he's ready for another big step in his life.
00:07This morning we let him down and his mother to the lower panda viewing exhibits
00:12and he just went in and started exploring and climbing
00:15and it's just been a lot of action this morning.

00:50So today we will be giving them access to the back bedroom areas and this may occur over the next
00:55few days.
00:56If they're behaving fine and feeling very comfortable on exhibit, they will probably be out for longer periods of time
01:01for our public viewing.
01:02But the next few days we're just going to have to gauge their behavior and see how well they're doing.

01:32We were able to get an ultrasound on Bayoune and confirm that she is pregnant with a healthy fetus.
01:41Music
01:42She was a little hesitant at first but she gradually settled down and gave us a wonderful opportunity for an
01:50ultrasound.
01:50Get down a little bit of your feet.
01:52Good girl.
01:55There we go.

02:59But you know always the health nut.
03:00She stopped for salad first.
03:01She had some of her bamboo and then she went and investigated the cake.
03:04Checked it out.
03:05Knocked it over.
03:06Rolled around with it.

03:32A lot of the things going on at the San Diego Zoo involve the opportunity to talk to researchers who
03:36work right there with the pandas all day long.
03:39You can also write special birthday wishes down on some pieces of paper and that would hang on a bamboo
03:43chime to help celebrate their birthday.
