00:01So we're at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park watching Amanti and Kami interacting with the
00:07herd of 17 African elephants. Kami and Amanti have been seen being cared by their aunts. You
00:14see them interacting with some of the other calves playing and simply following each other around.
00:19In fact, Kami and Amanti are spending quite a bit of time with Ngani, one of the adult females,
00:24and her three calves. So Kami and Amanti are continuing to eat as normal, both gaining weight.
00:31We've been noticing quite a significant weight gain in Amanti. He gained 88 pounds in the last
00:37four days alone. Amanti has been gaining weight on the typical elephant diet. That includes three
00:43different types of hays, alfalfa, Bermuda, and Sudan, as well as their favorite, which is an alfalfa based
00:49pellet, or what I call little cookies, and also some types of leafy materials such as acacia and ficus.
