00:00She rose and went to the window. She placed both hands on the stone balustrade and looked down.
00:08Jehu rode into the courtyard with his men and dismounted.
00:13Is it peace, Zimra? Murderer of his master?
00:22Jehu did not respond to the provocation. He raised his voice toward the windows.
00:28Who is on my side? Who?
00:40Throw her down.
01:03Jehu strode right past. He entered Ahab's palace through the main gate, sat at the queen's table, and ordered food
01:11and wine to be served.
01:12He ate slowly. And only after he had eaten did he say,
01:18Go and see to this cursed woman and bury her, for she was a king's daughter.
01:25They went carrying torches to the foot of the wall. But the place was empty.
01:30The city dogs, gaunt, snouts low to the ground, the very same ones that prowled the pool of Samaria and
01:38the road of Naboth, shied away from the torchlight and vanished into the streets.
01:48They returned and told Jehu, and he remained silent for a moment.
01:56This is the word of the Lord, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishlik.
02:00In the field of Jezreel, the dog shall eat the flesh of Jezebel, and her body shall be as dug
02:06upon the ground, so that no one can say,
02:09This is Jezebel.
02:17A prophet without a crown, without an army, without human support.
02:25A man who appeared without warning, spoke what no one wanted to hear, and was taken away without anyone seeing
02:33him die.
02:35Everything he said came to pass. The heavens closed and opened when he said they would. Fire came down when
02:44he prayed.
02:46Ahab died, and the dogs licked his blood. Jezebel fell, and the dogs devoured her.
