00:00The wood dripped, the flesh dripped.
00:04In all the land, there was nothing more impossible to set on fire.
00:09Elijah walked to the trench.
00:13Lord, God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel,
00:17today let them see it.
00:19You are God in Israel.
00:20I am your servant.
00:23Everything I have done here I did because you told me.
00:28Answer me, Lord.
00:30Answer me, so this people will know that you are God
00:33and that you are bringing their hearts home.
00:39The wind stopped.
00:41Thousands of people and not a sound, not even a breath.
00:46The white sky above it all sealed shut, motionless.
00:52And then the sky moved.
00:55High above the altar, the white haze tore open in a circle,
00:59the edges curling outward, boiling.
01:03And inside the opening, there was no blue.
01:19And now he will appear to be surface.
01:21Oh, God.
01:29I'm so sorry.
01:32Let's see.
01:43the circle in the sky closed where the altar had stood there was only an empty
01:50trench white ash and a thin thread of smoke
