00:00Coach, let's get into what's wrong with the Eagles here.
00:02I mean, boy, I'm going to give you some numbers, Coach.
00:0584 total yards in the second half against the Jags.
00:09The week before that, Coach, 93 total yards in the second half.
00:15And those games, three points, zero points.
00:18And if you want to go back to Chicago even, zero points in the second half.
00:23I get it.
00:24It's a first-time play caller.
00:25I understand all of that.
00:26And the personnel is not quite what it once was when they had A.J. Brown
00:30and Devontae Smith.
00:32But, Coach, you can't manufacture.
00:33There was a stretch coach where they had 17 straight where they didn't get a
00:38first down on third down.
00:40What's wrong with the Eagle offense?
00:43Well, I don't want to knock a coach, obviously,
00:46but obviously they've got to change what they're doing a little bit.
00:49They have to change up what they're doing with the quarterback.
00:52You can't keep doing the same stuff over and over or expect it to be good.
00:56Now, Hurts has always been a guy that wants to hold the ball.
00:58And you have to understand that from a protection standpoint, too,
01:01and give times for guys to work free in coverage.
01:05And he's also been a guy that doesn't process particularly well.
01:08He's a very talented guy.
01:09He's a winner.
01:10So he's got all these great attributes.
01:12But he is a slow processor and wants to hang on to it.
01:15And when that happens, you have to be very judicious in what you're trying to do
01:18throwing the ball.
01:20Coach, to me, it doesn't seem like he's an anticipation thrower.
01:23A lot of the great quarterbacks are anticipation throwers.
01:26And when you hold the ball like that, is that what that comes back to,
01:29is that he really doesn't throw to spots.
01:32He's more of a guy that throws to the open man.
01:35And that could be a problem,
01:36especially when you're trying to get an offense going.
01:39It is.
01:40You know, you want to be careful about having all these quick five-step drop
01:45type things because he's not a quick processor.
01:48You want to get protections where he has a chance to kind of hold it a tick,
01:51you know, and work guys free.
01:53That's what he is.
01:54He's going to be a down-the-field thrower.
01:55And against pressure, you've got to give him good answers
01:57because he's not real good against pressure.
01:59You know, he gets a little – you start – a Kansas City playman would be a nightmare
02:04because they're going to show him stuff they're not going to play.
02:06And he's going to get baited and all those kinds of things.
02:09So you've got to be very careful about your protections
02:11and what you're doing with them.
