00:00Here are 10 ways to transform your yard for Christmas, all without breaking the bank.
00:05Finding unique Christmas decor can feel impossible when store-bought options all look the same.
00:11So I spray-painted dollar store bowls with different colors.
00:14I took the small cups and painted them with silver spray paint.
00:17I dipped my finger into the paint and then I rubbed that over the top of the accents on the
00:22bowls.
00:23I drilled a hole into each, used some super glue, and placed it around the edge.
00:27Then I placed the other bowl of the same color on top.
00:31Next, I'm going to take some twine and tie a knot and stuff it through the hole.
00:35And then I'm going to glue the silver cup on top.
00:37I glued the embellishments onto the bowls and that was it.
00:41Store-bought Christmas wreaths are shockingly expensive and they're not always eye-catching.
00:46Start by connecting the ends of some pool noodles using duct tape.
00:50Connect the other ends to create a complete circle with the pool noodles.
00:54Create a hanger.
00:55Start gluing some ornament balls to the outer perimeter of the pool noodle circle.
01:00And here's a tip.
01:01Don't put the glue directly on the pool noodle because the pool noodle will melt.
01:06Instead, put the glue on the ornament and let it cool for just a couple of seconds before attaching the
01:11ornament to the outside of the pool noodle.
01:13As you add ornaments and continue around the circle, you're going to want to put a little bit of glue
01:18between the ornaments.
01:19Once most of the pool noodle surface is covered, start to glue smaller sized ornaments in to fill in the
01:25gap.
01:25You can take it a step further and glue small picks of greenery or other Christmas details to fill in
01:31the gaps.
01:33Instead of paying a ton for outdoor decor that doesn't last, I picked up three of these bouncy balls from
01:38Dollar Tree.
01:39I'm going to start by painting these.
01:41Next, I grab two paint sticks.
01:43I'm just going to hot glue these together to make one long one.
01:47Now, I'm taking each of those painted bouncy balls and I'm going to attach them to the paint sticks.
01:52I'm using Snowtex.
01:54This is a really cool textured medium.
01:56With everything dry, I can start decorating.
01:59I just got some little black stones and I wanted to create a little carrot for a nose.
02:04So I used some orange polymer clay and just baked it for about 10 minutes until it became nice and
02:10firm.
02:10I grabbed a big flower pot.
02:12I added some heavy stones to help keep it in place and I finished it with some more decoration.
02:17Lots of outdoor Christmas decor doesn't look great during the day.
02:20Grab a sheet of plywood.
02:21I made a DIY projector from a cardboard box.
02:24I projected the image and traced the shape of the tree and used the jigsaw to cut out the details.
02:30To make a star, I drilled a hole with a 1 1⁄2 or 1 1⁄4 inch drill bit.
02:35I sanded it, wiped it clean, and painted it with exterior white latex paint.
02:40I cut a scrap 2x4 into a point at the end, then screwed it down the center of the tree,
02:46with 1-2 feet sticking out the bottom.
02:48I used the staple gun to attach white outdoor string lights to the back of the tree.
02:54Now I have the best outdoor seasonal decor on my block, and it looks great during both day and night.
03:02You can easily spend way too much on a wreath for your front door, so pick up two small tabletop
03:09trees.
03:10Line the trees up bottom to bottom.
03:12Place some glue at the connecting points of the trunks and hold until dry.
03:17Fluff out the branches on both sides.
03:19Take your sparkly picks and connect them to the center of the trees and arrange the berries into the branches
03:26of the tree.
03:27Slide a piece of wired evergreen through the back loop of the bow and tie the bow to the center
03:32of the swag.
03:33Take it a step further and glue a bottle brush tree and any other embellishments you like to the center
03:39of the swag.
03:40Hang your new swag on your front door and enjoy!
03:46Large-scale outdoor props are notoriously hard to find and expensive, so grab empty 2-liter sodas and cut the
03:53labels off.
03:54Then take a hot knife and cut off the top. Paint them bright colors.
03:57Once those dry, take some 6-ounce cups and cut the bottoms off of those as well.
04:02Those you'll paint black.
04:04Grab some pipe insulation and start wrapping it around outdoor lights.
04:08I used two long strings of 24-foot pipe insulation.
04:12I just wrapped and twisted them all the way around.
04:15Take those plastic cups you cut, replace the bulb, and feed it through.
04:19Then, take your bottle and push it right on there.
04:22Weld the two together with some hot glue.
04:25Next, cut up some cedar boards. Paint them a silver-gray color.
04:30Mark a circle and paint some black inside of it.
04:32I took a small garbage can, added some liquid nails on the edge, and set the board on top.
04:38Look at that! You've got huge Christmas string lights! Don't they look great?
04:45Too many porches look dark and uninviting at Christmas time.
04:49Pick up 6 clear plastic punch bowls from Dollar Tree.
04:52Cut a round hole in the bottom of each punch bowl, then glue the bowls together top to top with
04:57hot glue.
04:58Take the 6 attached bowls, and glue the bases of the bowls together so that you have 3 bowls stacked
05:04vertically.
05:05Take an LED fairy light strand, wrap the string lights around a wood dowel, and thread them through the center
05:11holes.
05:12Distribute the fairy lights into each bowl.
05:14Place the stack on a planter and enjoy the glow!
05:19Lots of Christmas decor doesn't transition well to winter.
05:23Start with a wreath frame.
05:25Go around each one of the rings and clip off the metal.
05:28You'll also need yarn.
05:29I put some cardboard down, grabbed the hot glue, and used it to tack the yarn on there and wrap
05:35it around.
05:36Once you get all 3 of the same size rings put together, you'll put them in place by setting them
05:41inside each other.
05:42To keep them together, you'll need some zip ties.
05:45Cut off the excess, and then turn it over and do the same on the bottom.
05:50Now it's time for some fairy lights.
05:52What you want to do is add some hot glue to the bottom, take the switch, and glue it down
05:57there.
05:58Then you'll wrap the lights all the way around each of the arms.
06:02Grab a cup and also a pipe cleaner.
06:05Feed that through the cup, and then just twist it around.
06:11Real flowers won't last through harsh winters, so I grabbed a bouncy ball from Walmart and chose a yard of
06:17this glittery white fabric to simulate snow.
06:20I'll take the ball, place it right in the middle, and bring all that fabric to the center.
06:24Then I just pinched and gathered it.
06:27I used a zip tie to secure it all together, then I just snipped off the excess.
06:32This is going to be the wire I used to hang it from a tree, from a shepherd's hook, from
06:36a lamppost, anything really.
06:37I'll take the wire and tie it right around the top, also cutting off the excess.
06:42This way I have enough room to tie it from whatever I decide.
06:46I have some of these beautiful snowy roses, and these already come pre-flocked.
06:51So I snipped off each flower and worked them in, dipping the leaves into a glue skillet.
06:56Fabric is a great adhesive for all your florals, your artificial leaves, your artificial flowers.
07:01It does a great job keeping them in place.
07:04I came back in with the rose flowers, and I just hot glued those right in place as well.
07:09Then I came back in with even more roses.
07:12This is honestly perfect for all winter long, and you can even place it before Christmas.
07:17You get a really long season out of this, using only a couple dollars worth of supplies.
07:22Here's how it looks hanging from my tree.
07:25I absolutely love it, and it looks so pretty swaying in the wind.
07:30You always want to add one more detail for Christmas.
07:33Even after your budget is maxed out.
07:35Head to Dollar Tree and pick up green pool noodles.
07:38Cut the pool noodle and create the shape of a J.
07:40Then thread wire through the center of the pool noodle to help it hold the shape.
07:45Take hot glue and begin to wrap the garland around the pool noodle.
07:48Create the shape of a O again with the wire, connecting both ends to hold the shape.
07:54Secure with hot glue.
07:55Using your glue gun, wrap the garland around the pool noodle.
07:58Lastly, take your knife and cut a pool noodle into three pieces that are the same length.
08:03Create the shape of a Y, then thread wire through the center of the noodles to connect the ends
08:09and hold the shape.
08:10Use hot glue to secure it all together.
08:12Wrap the garland around the entire pool noodle, then wrap the J, the O, and the Y with fairy lights.
08:19Set that over to 10 minutes in the circle and take the Winner's Phillips.
08:20Begin.
08:20Step 1, 2 and 3.
08:20Mint.
08:20카, 2, 1, 1, 2, 1, 2, 2, 3, 2, 3.
