00:00Is this the best team DeBoer's had?
00:02And is this a legitimate national championship team in your mind?
00:04I think so.
00:06I remember at the beginning of the season writing, you know,
00:08the seven teams that can win the national championship.
00:10And I think, I'm pretty sure all seven are still alive.
00:14And I remember wanting to put an eighth team on there.
00:17And I said, if Keelan Russell is who we think he's going to be,
00:20Alabama would be that eighth team.
00:23And right now, and I know, like I said in the last segment,
00:26I don't want to sound like I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth,
00:28that if there was one player that I think could challenge Jeremiah Smith
00:32for the Heisman, it might be Keelan Russell because of that ability,
00:35not just to throw the ball down the field.
00:37Did you see the throw that he, you know,
00:39he kind of stood in the pocket and he throws an absolute laser.
00:42It was about a 30 yard throw.
00:44I was just like, wow, that's amazing.
00:47And he can run too.
00:49And he can escape.
00:51I think he's added a big play capability to Alabama's offense that they
00:55haven't had the last two years, which makes this Georgia game so interesting
00:59because the Bulldogs are playing as good as anybody.
01:01And now they got to go into Alabama.
01:04They have not beat Alabama in the regular season since 2007.
01:08I know they got the SEC title game and the championship game,
01:12but imagine that a regular season win.
01:14They haven't beat Alabama in almost 20 years.
01:16It's going to be a great game.
01:18Yeah, just this, this Alabama team coming into the year.
01:23I feel like I was struggling to put them as one of those national
01:26championship contenders.
01:27It was kind of contingent on if Keelan Russell can play well.
01:30And now that he's playing well, I mean, with their defense,
01:32the running game has gone a lot better.
01:34They've got weapons on the outside.
01:35They look like they have a strong case to get to the, to get to the finals.
01:39But yeah, it seems like they're always going to be Georgia's kryptonite.
01:42I, are you, are you serious?
01:44They haven't beat them in the regular season since 2007.
01:47Yeah, it's, it's been a long time and they just have a way.
01:51Like remember two years ago,
01:52they play this unbelievable game that Georgia was supposed to win in the
01:56regular season.
01:57And Alabama came out and they were up, I think three touchdowns before you knew
02:01it.
02:02You know, last year, last year, Alabama won the game.
02:05You know, Georgia was a, I believe a touchdown to seven,
02:08eight point favorite in that game.
02:09I just remember Caden Proctor.
02:11That was the one where they threw the screen to him.
02:13So it has become the predominant game in college football and not,
02:19I'm not saying it's better than Ohio state and Michigan because it's not.
02:22But in terms of how many top 10 showdowns they've had in the last decade,
02:27I mean,
02:28they they've been more consistent with both teams being in that role.
02:32And instead of just one.
