00:00So, Atlanta absolutely obliterated the Saints, 45-24. They had 420 yards in total. I think they had five rushing
00:11touchdowns between both of the B. Robinsons, Bajon and Brian Robinson. They both basically just traded off touchdowns.
00:20And Atlanta, I mean, Michael Penix looked fantastic. They carved up that New Orleans defense. And this New Orleans offense
00:29was just held in check the entire game. A New Orleans offense that actually surprised over the first few weeks.
00:37Tyler Shuck was leading the league in passing yards through a few weeks. Kind of come back down to earth,
00:43John, a little bit. The Falcons humbled him.
00:45Now, this is, I think, what was it, the anniversary of the Katrina thing? It kind of made this whole
00:50kind of celebration.
00:52I mean, not celebration, but like in memory of that. And the Falcons came in there. It looked like they
00:57had a chip on their shoulder.
00:58Like, we're not going to let that happen. What happened way back then when they got embarrassed back in 2005,
01:032006.
01:04So, John, your initial thoughts here on the Falcons looking good?
01:13To me, everything is the opponent, but I thought the Falcons really represented what they could do tonight if they
01:19start the game with Bajon.
01:21If the game plan is driven by Bajon Robinson and the other Robinson who was shot multiple times, they're going
01:30to be good.
01:31What they've shown they can do is go forward on the ground. With each game, whether the Falcons have won
01:38or lost, they've shown the ability to run the ball with the exception, I think it was week two, when
01:43they just, for whatever reason, didn't give it to Bajon.
01:46So, after that, Bajon Robinson and Bajon Robinson have shown that that run game is the key to them going
01:53forward.
01:54I thought Michael Pennings Jr. still looks a little off. He still looks like he's finding his way after his
01:59third ACL tear.
02:01And so, at this point, you just kind of got to let him work his way back into shape because
02:05you can't trust the guys that they have backing him up.
02:07And you've just got to follow the lead of this running game.
02:10They did that tonight, and they absolutely dominated, and I mean dominated the Saints, from the first carry that Bajon
02:18Robinson had.
02:19Now, this NFC South race now, you know, you had the Panthers beat the Lions on Sunday night football.
02:26Now we have the Falcons kind of finding their footing a little bit.
02:30The Saints are going to get back down to earth.
02:32The Buccaneers just kind of look like a mess at this point.
02:35They couldn't beat the Packers, even with Jalen Daniels, their rookie backup.
02:39So, this division now is looking like it's favoring Atlanta at this point with their momentum and how they're playing.
02:47And they're kind of riding a lot of what Michael Pennings got then last game, and then he came into
02:52this game and looked even better.
02:54Like, it feels like Michael Pennings is starting to feel a little bit more comfortable.
02:58He's starting to understand, like, hey, this is my team.
03:01He had that famous meme of him pointing at Tua Tagovailoa.
03:05It's pretty clear that they're not going to put Tua back in now.
03:08But, John, like, when you look at this Atlanta team, and you kind of warned me about this.
03:14Last time when we were talking about the Falcons, you were like, hey, this team isn't as bad as we
03:19think.
03:19Like, you look around their roster, and they have good pieces, especially on the offensive end.
03:24Now they kind of put both sides together in a really big divisional game on the road.
03:30Like, what does this mean for this Atlanta team?
03:33Like, do you still believe in this Atlanta team, or is this just, hey, a good few weeks here?
03:38I think because the division is going to be, you know, you might get a sub-500 winner in this
03:47division.
03:48But of the games that I've seen, the Panthers have been competitive in every game.
03:53I can't say that about the Falcons.
03:56I can't say that about the Saints.
03:57And I absolutely cannot say that, even though they put up a fight without Baker Mayfield going forward about the
04:02Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
04:04Without Baker Mayfield, they're in trouble.
04:06I don't think the Saints are good, just in general.
04:09I think what they were able to do is sneak up on a couple good teams at the beginning of
04:13the season.
04:13And because they didn't pull out victories in both those games, they're sitting at 1-3 now.
04:19And 1-3 feels way worse than 2-2.
04:22Ask the people of Atlanta.
04:23So I think this is going to be a two-team race, like I said, with the Baker Mayfield injury
04:29between Carolina and Atlanta.
04:31And I still like Carolina because I've seen consistency from Carolina.
04:34They don't win every game.
04:36They almost got a 60 put on them by the Bears.
04:39But they put up 37 in that game that they gave up 60.
04:42And so because the Panthers have been consistent, and I was high on the Panthers to start the season, I'm
04:47still smoking a little bit of it.
04:49Got a roach somewhere around here.
04:50And so to me, that's the team that I think will ultimately end up winning that division.
04:55Even though I think the Falcons, with their talent, their talent alone should give them a run for their money.
