00:00You know, the Falcons showed some life against the Packers this past Monday night.
00:03And, you know, the Saints, every time I'm watching them play, I go, wow, they're back.
00:08And then you're like, they kind of wobble a little bit.
00:10So the 2026 Saints, to you so far, going into this game tonight, are what?
00:18It's Tyler Shuck.
00:19I mean, they go as he goes.
00:23He's phenomenal.
00:24He's leading in a lot of categories, third in yards.
00:27He's almost got 1,000 yards passing.
00:30But he's also had some interceptions and some fumbles.
00:33You know, the fourth quarter comebacks have been phenomenal.
00:36But to me, they're putting so much pressure on his shoulders.
00:40He's playing in his fifth game in the Superdome.
00:45Fifth, right?
00:46And it's a Monday night game.
00:47So he's still growing.
00:49But they haven't had a running game to speak of.

00:54Chris Olave's been unstoppable.
00:56But that's been kind of it.
00:57They haven't had a lot of defensive takeaways, just three.
01:02And so they're hurting in the turnover margin.
01:05You've got to have ball protection against Atlanta.
01:07They're kind of the same thing.
01:08But Atlanta's interceptions and turnovers came in the first two weeks.
01:12Michael Penix has a pick, and the team has no fumbles.
01:15They're almost like two teams.
01:17And so the way they looked against Carolina, I mean, against Green Bay, 194 yards for Bajon Robinson, 194 yards
01:25for Drake London.
01:27Yikes.
01:27So that team, that's the only game tape I looked at.
01:32I did not look at games one and two.
01:35Atlanta has always had these weapons.
01:38Now, Kyle Pitts, I don't understand.
01:41We had Brock Bowers almost come in and beat us single-handedly last week with the Raiders.
01:46And Kyle Pitts had one catch for five yards.
01:48He's had two receptions for 20 yards this year.
01:52So they are very, very good, the Atlanta Falcons are, because you just look at Michael Penix and where they
02:01are.
02:01And the Saints could have to play a good football game and take some pressure off of Tyler.

02:09And I've got to ask you, the general manager of the Saints here, I mean, has this been all kind
02:13of still trying to dig out of the salary cap issues?
02:18Also, that the Saints have had over the last couple of years?
02:21Because, you know, you mentioned they're kind of light in some positions, Mike.
02:25And they're still working their way out of that right now as they're retooling this roster for Kellen Moore.
02:30Is that fair?
02:31I think they're on the outer edge of it, right?
02:35You picked in the top 10 the last two years from a draft standpoint.
02:39You've really relied on draft classes and you've gotten yourself somewhat out of dead cap money.
02:45So I think they're coming out of that tunnel.
02:48It's hard to, when you've pushed your chips to the middle and said, we're all in for so long, it's
02:54hard to actually even say we're rebuilding.
02:57And they didn't really want to say it, but that's the truth of the matter.
03:00And they are.
03:01But I feel like this team, you know, is already competitive in the division.
03:06So I feel like they're on the outside looking back at what was a very, you know, tough rebuilding process.
