00:00All right, there was a game last night, obviously.
00:0320th anniversary of the Dome reopening after Katrina.
00:05And I got to tell you, ever since we talked last week, Falcons,
00:10I got to tell you, the Green Bay game and last night,
00:13they are in full force right now.
00:15And they look like the best team in the NFC South with a 45-24 victory.
00:19And ever since they put Michael Penix back in,
00:22and I got to say this right here too, I thought Michael Penix, dude,
00:25I didn't think this guy was the dude.
00:27I said it a couple weeks ago, and he's been playing lights-out football,
00:31and he knows that this football team right now is in a pretty damn good place,
00:36and they're getting ready to do some damage in the NFC South.
00:40Obviously, we got the results we wanted.
00:43It went real good.
00:47Hey, man, a few words there, huh?
00:49He was 15-20, 223 yards in the touchdown last night.
00:53And I got to say, man, good stuff last night.
00:56In control of the offense, you had Drake London working last night.
01:00Obviously, this man here, though, he is the centerpiece of this football team.
01:05This guy is the best running back in the National Football League,
01:09and I'm not sure it's close.
01:10He is B. John Robinson.
01:13I mean, it's amazing, man.
01:14Like, having just B. Rob back there, you know, you can't take a break on defense.
01:19Like, when he goes in, you have to be ready because he comes downhill,
01:23and it's hard to tackle him.
01:25You know, he's a guy that when he gets the ball, like, he's just a truck, man,
01:30just a bowling ball going downhill.
01:32So, you know, with him just complimenting, with me complimenting him
01:35and always just trying to get the best out of each other, it's special to see.
01:40And we just got to keep going because, you know, how hard we work in practice,
01:44you know, we always want to just show it in the game.
01:46This dude's got over 300 yards in the last two games he's played.
01:51He's a modern-day Marshall Falk.
01:54Catches the ball out of the backfield, runs the ball.
01:56He is a tough runner inside.
01:59Man, there's a guy in a centerpiece that you build your football team around.
02:03No question about it.
02:04By the way, I got to say this, too.
02:06You got to take a look at Kevin Stefanski and what he's done.
02:09Remember what this guy did as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
02:13He won two NFL Coach of the Year awards there in Cleveland,
02:18brought that team to the playoffs, actually has a playoff win,
02:23won 11 games in Cleveland, and look at the impact now he's having
02:27on this football team with this Atlanta Falcons group.
02:29Yeah, I thought, again, really nice playing by Tommy and Coach Cowley
02:35on the offensive staff and then executed at a high level that defeat.
02:37To have rush success, it really is an 11-man operation,
02:41and I thought Mike got us in and out of things, did a nice job.
02:45I thought across the board, tight ends, wide receivers, offensive line,
02:48then I thought Brian was all around some day.
02:50Man, I think this guy's a hell of a coach, too, and he's done a great job.
02:53How about all the first-year head coaches we're starting to see in the NFL
02:56make an impact on their respective football teams this year,
02:59and how about all the young coaches now that are also turning
03:02some of these reclamation projects around?
03:04Remember something?
03:05Michael Penix, and I'm one of the critics, I said this guy was a bust.
03:09All of a sudden, Stefanski gets a hold of him.
03:11He goes into Atlanta and has turned this guy's career back around again,
03:15and he looks like the first-round pick that came out of Washington
03:18a couple years ago, no doubt about it.
03:20On the other side, it wasn't a very good night.
03:23Obviously, outside of the great ceremony that we saw for the Saints fans
03:27going into the building, I love the fact that they were celebrating
03:30the 20th anniversary of the reopening of the Dome, but, boy, I'll tell you what,
03:34if you're Tyler Shook, you're disappointed with last night's effort.
03:38Yeah, it's extremely disappointing.
03:40It's embarrassing, and, I mean, you can't say enough good things
03:43about the fans showing up, the entire process, what this game meant,
03:48and we fell short as a team to not get that win.
03:51So that was our mission.
03:52That was my message, and we didn't win, and it was a team loss.
03:54We got to do better on all fronts, and, you know, us as an offense starting faster
03:59when it comes to, you know, another really good offense as well
04:02and being able to do our part.
04:05We got to do a lot better there, and it starts with myself.
04:08That guy played seven years in college football?
04:12It's like a GI Bill.
04:14I mean, seven years, was he going for a doctorate?
04:18I know that he was playing college ball.
04:20So let me get this right.
04:21When he gets done with his rookie contract, this guy's going to be in his 30s?
04:25Hey, it must be nice nowadays to be able to play in college seven years.
04:29I wish I had that option, man.
04:31That's awesome there.
04:32Kellen Moore, by the way, here.
04:34And when you hear Kellen Moore, I'm sorry,
04:37but I feel like I'm at a library down in New Orleans,
04:40and I go to the librarian and I say, hey, can you tell me where the tax code section is?
04:46Here's Kellen Moore.
04:47Yeah, obviously you're going to have mentors, but, you know, more importantly,
04:50our group has to come together and find those solutions together.
04:54And so, you know, I love this group.
04:56This group's going to rally together.
04:57It's a really disappointing night for everyone in that locker room.
05:00Everyone's disappointed, but, you know,
05:02these are opportunities for us to come together and find a solution
05:05and play better football and coach better football moving forward.
05:08And so, you know, we get an opportunity to take a certain path,
05:12and, you know, we can look back at this as a real growth opportunity,
05:15and that's what we've got to focus on.
05:16We've got to get better at it, though.
05:18It's like listening to Napoleon Dynamite or something.
05:20I don't know.
05:22I mean, you lost me there a little bit there, Kellen.
05:26Hopefully they end up turning that thing around
05:28and look at the New Orleans Saints right now sitting at 1-3.
05:30How about the Bucs?
05:31At 0-4 in Atlanta and Carolina are going to battle it out for the NFC South title.
05:38No question about it.
05:39And the Falcons are surging right now.
