00:00All right, Junior, jump in here.
00:01Reaction Monday.
00:02What's your reaction to the 0-4 Texans?
00:06Man, my reaction right now is that, first of all,
00:10Nick Haley needs to be fired.
00:11Both Knicks actually need to be fired.
00:14Really, in all reality, the only times that this offensive looked good
00:17is against bad defenses.
00:19We kind of find out that the Bills' defense ain't much,
00:21and obviously the Dallas Cowboys' defense ain't much either.
00:25You led with the Knicks today, though?
00:27Knicks.
00:28Knicks, for sure.
00:29I mean, he called a good game,
00:31but there was just times where we're still throwing a lineman in there
00:36as a tight end?
00:37I don't understand.
00:38I really don't get it.
00:40And the runs that he called coming out of the half,
00:44once we came out of the half, we got the ball,
00:46and he started calling runs, and they went one, two, three out.
00:50Straight.
00:52I mean, they need to get him out,
00:54and they also need to get Matt Burke out.
00:57All right, I appreciate the call, Junior.
00:59We're going to move, but listen, I can't play Matt Burke.
01:02All right.
01:03Now, not when D'Amico's over there, who apparently,
01:06if you heard his press conference today,
01:08it feels like D'Amico's going to take over that play calling again.
01:10He certainly did not deny that.
01:12We'll just see.
01:12We'll see with it.
01:13No, yeah, he's going to go ahead.
01:14It seems like he's going to go ahead and take over that play calling.
01:16But, no, I hear you, man.
01:17There's got to be some major moves, me and being made.
01:20I'm not going to disagree with you about Nick Kaley or the Knicks,
01:23but, I mean, you led after they put up 30 today or yesterday with it.
01:29All right, Troy, 0-4 Texans.
01:31Your reaction on Reaction Monday?
01:34The reaction is that the last time we were 0-4,
01:39we had Deshaun Watson.
01:40I think it was Nick, Jack Easterby lurking and putting his hand up Cal's butt
01:47and using him as a puppet.
01:50And we were an embarrassment.
01:52And then last year we were supposed to be this amazing team
01:55that is going to go to the Super Bowl just as long as Stroud holds up
01:58his end of the deal.
01:59And, my God, has he ever held up his end of the deal.
02:02I don't know how much money we have towards the defense,
02:06and I'm usually a fire-nick Kaley and a Katerio guy,
02:09but today – and I'm not going to say fire, D'Amico.
02:11I think he's a good coach.
02:13But what the hell are we doing with this much money put to the freaking –
02:16to the defense and giving up – like, why can't we ever in Houston
02:20ever just have it at the same time?
02:23Why does it always got to be the defense is badass, but the offense sucks?
02:27The offense is not badass, but they're okay, and the defense is abyssal.
02:31It's just – it's like there's a curse that was put out
02:35during the playoffs against the Buffalo Bills.
02:38And it's just lasted, and it's going to last forever.
02:41And, look, you've got to get Nick Katerio out of there.
02:43The amount of loose he's made over the offseason
02:45has just been exponentially worse and worse and worse,
02:50and it's like a tidal wave of just crap that is going over a city
02:54that is the Houston Texans and us who are taking the brunt of it
02:57as the Houston sports fans.
02:59Appreciate the call, Troy.
03:00By the way, what is his best offseason move?
03:03Knicks?
03:06This year or ever.
03:07Foster Moreau?
03:08Foster Moreau's going to say –
03:09He's got a touchdown.
03:10Is it Keelan Rutledge?
03:12Is that – I mean, I'm just – I'm just listening.
03:13Reed seems to be really struggling on the defensive side of the ball.
03:17Keelan Rutledge seems to be really struggling on the offensive line.
03:20Is it Ed?
03:21The bringing back Ed?
03:23Yeah, maybe.
03:23He got his ass kicked a few times yesterday, too.
03:25Yeah.
03:26I can think it's –
03:29That's tough.
03:30All right, Glenn, what reaction Monday?
03:33You reacting to the Texans 0-4.
03:36Hey, guys.
03:37So I enjoy listening to your show in the afternoons each day,
03:42and I'll say two things.
03:44One, I think the issue is higher than just the players.
03:48Absolutely.
03:49And, you know, I moved down here three years ago from Dallas.
03:52I mean, this team's not committed to win, period.
03:55Okay?
03:56So you don't have a coach that's ever won anything.
03:59You have a quarterback.
04:01Everybody dogpiled last year.
04:03That guy's the best guy in the squad.
04:04I'm like, I was blown away with the response in this city.
04:07And this kid's probably the best guy on the team.
04:10You have an offensive line that's trash.
04:13You don't have a name running back.
04:15You've got one guy evidently on the squad that can catch passes.
04:19And you made, basically yesterday, CeeDee Lamb, who's like a number two.
04:24Looked like Jerry Rice yesterday.
04:28All right.
04:29I appreciate the call, Glenn.
04:30Let's see.
04:31These are one.
04:32But I would disagree.
04:34But I get your point.
04:36Yeah, it does appear, as Clint said, they've got one person that can catch pass.
04:39Although Jay Leno would just like to get a few more thrown to him.
04:43But they're not committed to win.
04:45Like, I mean, you could, something, something, something's off.
04:50How, I mean, I mean, there are people convinced about the talent on this team.
04:56Especially offensively.
04:58I mean, the people that were convinced.
04:59It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's the, the approach, guys.
05:07It's offensively, it's, we've talked about this a million times.
05:11When you're competing with organizations that do it the right way, and you're hiring an offensive coordinator and adding him
05:20to a staff of already existing guys that were so bad the year before that you had to fire your
05:24offensive coordinator.
05:25Like, it doesn't, when you're hiring an offensive line coach that was literally in the room with the offensive line
05:30coach that you're firing.
05:32He was the assistant.
05:33Right?
05:34I mean, you're running a system that is a do-your-job, I mean, it's just, like, you're, you're, you're
05:40cross-training every offensive lineman all the time.
05:43You're cross-training all your wide receivers and putting a priority on, on run blocking and being able to play
05:48multiple positions.
05:49Like, it's, I mean, you got five tight ends and one of them can get, can create any level of
05:55separation that you know of, and that's, that's Brevin Jordan.
05:57He's been active one game.
05:59Like, it's, it's just, it's, it's the, it's the, it's the, the, the priority put on the, and the premium
06:05put on good guys that do their job.
06:09You can't, you can't win championships like that.
06:12Like they said, that man over there, he's the assistant O-line coach.
06:16He's just been holding all the secrets to make this thing work, just not telling anybody else.
06:20He's just been holding them.
06:22No, he ain't been holding them.
06:23That's the craziest thing, in my opinion.
06:25He's like, you just, like, even this year, like they'll, they'll, somebody will be the scapegoat.
06:29Like you said, I don't know if it's going to be CJ or, but there'll be a coach that'll be
06:32like, he'll be fired.
06:33And they've been telling us all year long.
06:35I mean, it's a group effort, man.
06:36There's five, six, seven different guys in there talking.
06:38Why is, why is one of them the guy that's wrong?
06:40Why is one of them the guy?
06:42I mean, it's, it's just a mess, man.
06:43And it's got Casario's name written all over any way you slice it.
06:47I don't give a damn what nobody says.
