00:00The quarterback conversation is changing by the moment.
00:04Daryl has authored several social media posts.
00:09Ever since the fans shared the...
00:12What do we got? Let's play this again for everybody.
00:15Here's what Daryl told us at like 8.30.
00:17Bingo.
00:17I think Shador Sanders very well could be the odd man out here.
00:21I don't think that they're going to trade Dylan Gabriel.
00:23They're not obviously going to move Taylor Greene,
00:26and they're not going to make Taylor Greene your backup quarterback either.
00:29So, that leaves Shador Sanders.
00:31They're not going to keep four quarterbacks.
00:32I just don't think that they can do that.
00:34Todd Munkin certainly, at least during training camp,
00:37didn't sound like he was crazy about that idea.
00:40Shador clearly wants to play.
00:41He's not going to play here right now.
00:43I think the original plan obviously was to have Shador take over for Deshaun
00:47if things went south early in the season.
00:49Well, they went south in week one, but they've not gone south since.
00:52So, Daryl, then five minutes later,
00:56I'm told this morning, per source,
00:58Brown's not looking to trade Shador Sanders,
01:00and they want to keep developing him.
01:03Fine by me.
01:05Fine by you.
01:07I do wonder.
01:08Somebody in the building hear it?
01:09Yeah, that's what I wonder.
01:10Obviously, Daryl would, if he got new information,
01:15based on the reporting that's out there,
01:18the things that are being said.
01:19And look, this became a conversation over the weekend.
01:21I know a lot of people were like mad we're even talking about this today,
01:24but all the national guys brought it up.
01:26And if you guys tell us all the time that Shador Sanders is the reason we have
01:31any ratings, so we thank all of you from around the country for tuning in
01:36and giving us our ratings.
01:37Give us our ratings.
01:39I mean, I'm looking at houses in West Bay.
01:42Shador Sanders has helped this show out so much.
01:44Incredible.
01:44Not just South Central Bay Village anymore.
01:46I was about to say, but what side of Wolf Road?
01:48Well, I think we know which side of Wolf Road.
01:50Let's not get crazy.
01:51I don't know.
01:52I'm unfamiliar.
01:53So, you don't have that in Streetsboro?
01:55There's not a delineation based on where you are?
01:57I know Peter Lynn, when he talks about Solon.
01:59Of course.
02:00Yeah, I had to mention North Solon.
02:02No-so?
02:03I've been to all parts of Solon.
02:04Solon's fine.
02:05And most-so.
02:07So, obviously, this stuff does matter.
02:10And you guys care about Shador Sanders.
02:12So, if there's a national report that references him,
02:14we're going to talk about it so I can get to West Bay
02:17and Peter Lynn can go to the other-so.
02:20Because no-so is where you want to be,
02:21but so-so is only so-so.
02:24You don't want to do that.
02:26What?
02:27I know.
02:28It's ridiculous, isn't it?
02:31Well, Daryl posted that.
02:34Now they're not interested.
02:35Well, Daryl did not say that they were interested in trading him.
02:38He just said that he could be the on-man out,
02:40is what Daryl said.
02:42Daryl never reported there was interest.
02:43He followed up that tweet with that same info,
02:45and he added, he was told there's absolutely nothing cooking there.
02:49Well, I just don't think they're going to trade.
02:51I mean, who are they?
02:52What are they going to do?
02:53Because they don't like to just cut a quarterback.
02:58Never.
03:00They're going to try to get some value out of somebody.
03:02I do wonder, Talon Green, has it, you know,
03:05we got one incredible play in a third preseason game
03:09that he played a half in.
03:11Mm-hmm.
03:12And that incredible play was not necessarily as a quarterback.
03:16No.
03:17It was a breakdown and a takeoff, right?
03:19I wonder if there's been enough time now
03:21that they think maybe they can cut him
03:24and get him to the practice squad
03:26without anybody else hitting on him.
03:27But then he is open every day for somebody to just come claim him
03:32and put him on their active roster.
03:35Because, okay, we got five weeks until the trade deadline.
03:38We got three weeks until we have to do something with Dillon Gabriel.
03:40See, this is where the conversation changes.
03:43Because, again, you got to be prepared for if Deshaun Watson goes down,
03:46because we're not out of the woods.
03:47We're three and one.
03:48We started off great.
03:49We're not out of the woods when it comes to that.
03:51We're not out of the woods when it comes to poor play, right?
03:54Okay.
03:54But I'm not going to entertain that every single day about poor play.
03:59Injury could be a possibility.
04:01It happens to a lot of quarterbacks.
04:02And we're getting fewer and fewer that are able to go all 17 games for the franchise.
04:07So you would imagine at some point you're going to have to have your backup start.
04:10Now, has Shador Sanders, and this is where I don't know.
04:14Like, we were told in the building that Dillon Gabriel knows the offense better than anybody.
04:21Okay.
04:22But does that mean that Shador hasn't developed enough within the offense to then take over the reins?
04:28I don't believe that that's true either.
04:30So if he's developed enough, then it does make Dillon Gabriel expendable.
04:34Because then you would look at Shador and you'd go,
04:36Okay, better talent, better upside, 6-2, 6-3.
04:43Definitely we could work with him.
04:45Definitely we could keep, if we had to, just keep things afloat.
04:48So, like, that's where the development comes in.
04:51The nomenclature of the offense comes in.
04:53Where then Dillon Gabriel would be expendable.
04:56These things, I mean, it's been five weeks since they've made that decision.
04:59So you would say it'd be eight weeks.
05:01I'd hope that Shador Sanders would understand the offense by then.
05:05So, yeah, we're getting a little bit worked up because it's an important position.
05:08But we've got to recognize, guys, the conversation has changed.
05:11Before it was just, well, play Shador, let's see what we got.
05:13Well, I didn't think we'd start off 3-1.
05:15And I don't think very many other people did.
05:18Except for a couple of people in the mentions over the summertime, that's about it.
05:23I mean, a lot of people are struggling to comprehend that the Browns are 3-1
05:29and we don't know, okay, is it a hot start or are they good?
05:32Because there's a lot of teams like, hey, you would say Houston's better going,
05:36you're on four, man.
05:37That's a deep hole.
05:39That's a deep, deep, deep trench you've dug for yourself.
05:42So now the Browns are looking better in that case.
05:44So now you've got yourself a little bit of leeway.
05:46I think that some of that goodwill can go away coming up on Sunday.
05:50But I'm telling you, I can't see myself coming in Monday screaming, yelling,
05:55losing my mind if they were to go to New York and lose.
05:59It's a road game.
06:00They're still a young team.
06:01Underdogs.
06:01And they're technically underdogs by it.
06:03So even at 3-2, I'm not saying throw Deshaun Watson to the side.
06:08Todd doesn't know what he's doing.
06:10Just put Shador in.
06:12When you win, you get a little bit of leeway here.
06:16All right?
06:18So before, I thought that the season would probably go by the wayside.
06:21Like, I can't imagine myself coming in in November screaming and yelling and hooting
06:25and hollering and getting so mad over losses.
06:28Yeah, well, I can't see myself coming in on Monday.
06:30I could say, I'm damn disappointed.
06:32It's a bitter pill to swallow.
06:34Padone will be in for you.
06:34You'll be on your way back getting ready for Columbus Day.
06:37I can't see myself losing my mind on Monday morning if they were to go to New York and fail.
06:42If they go to New York and succeed and they're 4-1, well, we might just have ourselves a four
06:46-hour party.
06:47We'll see where she goes.
06:48Because every win has been this sweet, sweet gift from the football gods.
06:53I'm sorry.
06:53I beg your pardon.
06:54What are you looking at?
06:54No, I was just wondering if it ends up that Watson has, like, some dud on the road or whatever.
07:01By the way, I did not go after you.
07:03You bring in your beautiful dog to the Wooly Bear Festival.
07:06I was waiting for you guys to do it the whole morning.
07:08You never did.
07:08What?
07:10So part of the gag.
07:12You brought a little Petey with you?
07:13No, I brought her name.
07:14Her name's Ginger.
07:16Okay?
07:17And I did not even think about it until I got a couple of tweets.
07:19I just thought that was a thing that, you know, big-time football guys do now.
07:24They take their dogs out with them.
07:25I only have one Ginger.
07:27I don't have, like, a vast array of golden retrievers.
07:30Trying to be Herb Street?
07:32No.
07:332.0.
07:33I honestly, I didn't even realize until I got, like, the first tweet, and I went, oh, no.
07:40Because they were like, hey, bring your dogs.
07:42And I was like, yeah, Ginny's.
07:44Seems like a good time to do it, right?
07:45Yeah, I mean, she's just a little burrito of a puppy.
07:47I mean, she's three years old, but she's just a little burrito.
07:50I could carry her around anywhere I go.
07:52And so I carried her for the parade.
07:54I'm afraid, Anthony, this is how it starts.
07:57Oh, do you think merchandise?
07:59We're not going to have a round of...
08:00There's not going to be a Ginger pop-up store, okay?
08:03I can guarantee you that.
