03:36if you do indeed like what we're bringing you.
03:39That being said, I said tonight is a very special episode.
03:41Tonight, we are reviewing AEW Dynamite,
03:44the tribute episode to Benjamin Satterley,
03:47also known throughout the wrestling world as Pac,
03:50or as Neville when he was in WWE,
03:52or Adrian Neville,
03:53Jungle Pac in Chikara.
03:56The young man has done so much
03:58in the world of professional wrestling,
04:00and I knew watching this show,
04:02I was not looking at this to have the five-star match type of show
04:07that you sometimes come to expect from AEW.
04:10This was not about that.
04:11This was an entire crop of talent
04:14that I cannot imagine how emotional they must be,
04:18how difficult it must be to perform under the circumstances,
04:21and let's just call it what it is.
04:23They went out there,
04:24and they gave it everything they had,
04:26and I have so much love and respect
04:28for the entire AEW roster right now
04:30for going out there and entertaining the fans
04:33in honor of a great superstar,
04:35but more importantly than the superstar,
04:37in honor of a great man
04:39who had the opportunity to come into their lives
04:41and be a part of the profession
04:43that they all love so much,
04:44and this was a very beautiful,
04:46fulfilling tribute to Benjamin Satterley.
04:49This was, look, I gotta go there.
04:53Tony Khan does the tribute show, I think,
04:56better than anybody in the wrestling business.
04:58He just does.
04:59He understands the human element.
05:01I always have gotten the impression
05:03Tony Khan is just a really great person
05:05at his core, fundamentally,
05:07a great guy, great values,
05:10and really understands respects
05:12and makes real connections with his talent,
05:14his people who work for him,
05:15and I understand when I saw the promo,
05:17when he cut the promo with the Ring of Honor tapings,
05:20indicating that they were gonna do this tribute tonight.
05:23You could just feel all the emotion
05:25pouring out of him,
05:26so I'm thankful that Tony had the wherewithal
05:29and the fortitude to push through this event
05:30and hold this for pack.
05:32That being said,
05:33I gotta address the elephant in the room,
05:35which is WWE did air Worlds Collide tonight
05:39counter-programming this tribute show,
05:41and I know there was a lot of conjecture
05:43back and forth between people within the company,
05:45outside the industry.
05:46I've seen people on WrestleTalk News
05:48begging them not to do it.
05:50I saw Brian Alvarez begging them not to do it.
05:54Many talents, supposedly, in WWE,
05:57begging them not to do this.
05:59And here's the thing, right?
06:01It's 2026, and I think most of us
06:03are understanding and adept to the technology.
06:05It is a YouTube channel,
06:07which means just because they play the show
06:09does not mean we have to watch it live.
06:11The show wasn't live anyways
06:13because it was a taped show from last weekend,
06:16and the spoilers have been available online,
06:18so it's not like there should be any surprises here.
06:21What I find so wildly encouraging
06:23about the pro wrestling audience,
06:25and this goes out to all of you who did this,
06:28when I tuned in tonight,
06:30I did a pulse check.
06:31I went into YouTube briefly
06:33just to see what the viewership was like,
06:36and when I logged in and was around,
06:37I want to say 8.15 p.m.,
06:39there were only 19,000 people live streaming that show
06:43while the AEW tribute show was going,
06:46and I hope that sends a message to WWE.
06:48Some things are bigger than these petty wrestling wars
06:52that people want to create
06:53that don't need to be a thing.
06:55That's a Vince McMahon thing,
06:57and it doesn't need to be
06:58in the world of professional wrestling.
06:59Look at Vince's father.
07:01Vince Sr., co-promoted with the AWA,
07:04the NWA, you know,
07:06there's no reason it couldn't be happening even today,
07:08and Tony Khan does a great job of that.
07:10WWE does a little bit of that,
07:12but Tony Khan does it better than anybody right now.
07:14That's just my opinion.
07:15That being said,
07:16let's get into the actual show
07:17because I've now rambled for a good five minutes,
07:20and I do want to go through this show segment by segment
07:23because this was an absolutely beautiful,
07:26beautiful tribute show.
07:27It started with Excalibur
07:29doing a very emotional,
07:31very touching welcome to the episode.
07:34Making it very clear why we're all tuning in,
07:36and the two things that I thought
07:38that were so touching about his speech about Pac
07:41was when he described him as both humble and warm,
07:45and as somebody who I've only seen Pac in passing,
07:49back when he was Neville in WWE at a show,
07:52he was walking by,
07:54and I didn't get a lot out of him.
07:55I didn't have any personal one-to-one interactions with Pac
07:58other than somebody near me shouting out to him
08:01and him turning his head
08:02and just acknowledging that fan with a nod
08:04and a smile, a smirk on his face,
08:07and to me, that told me all you needed to know
08:09because at the time, if I remember correctly,
08:10I believe he was a heel character.
08:13I really feel like this guy understood wrestling
08:16on a level that many people don't understand,
08:17but I get the impression he,
08:19all the stories we're hearing about
08:21how incredible of a human being he was,
08:23I feel like this really summed up
08:25some of the best qualities about him,
08:27humble and warm.
08:28From there, Tony Schiavone,
08:30also emotional conversation,
08:33and he does a responsibility that I can't imagine.
08:38He talks about how he's family,
08:42how AEW is family,
08:44and later on in the show,
08:46Tony's going to have the biggest challenge,
08:47I think, of the evening,
08:48and we'll get to that shortly,
08:49but then he throws it over to Jon Moxley's
08:52post-all-out promo he was cutting in the ring
08:55where he literally talked about his eulogy,
08:58he talked about every day
09:00and how important every day is,
09:03really put over Will Ospreay after their match,
09:06what I found almost eerie,
09:08but so poetic is after he's talking about
09:11that eulogy line,
09:12they're all leaving the ring,
09:13and the last person to leave the ring was Pac,
09:16and that was the last time he was filmed
09:18at a wrestling show for in any capacity
09:21prior to his untimely passing.
09:23From there, the talent is out on the stage,
09:26we do get a 10-bell salute,
09:27which you absolutely knew was going to be a thing,
09:30had to happen,
09:30Tony Khan's very good about these things,
09:32and you could just see the emotion in the faces,
09:36this whole night was going to build to a crescendo,
09:38and we'll get there,
09:40but as it's going,
09:41every time they do something like this,
09:43you just feel that emotion,
09:44the heaviness,
09:46the weight that it bears down on the crowd,
09:48it was unbelievable,
09:49and they follow up the 10-bell salute
09:51with an empty chair sitting in the crowd,
09:53symbolizing Pac being in attendance,
09:55wow,
09:56was it emotional.
09:58From there,
09:58Jon Moxley comes to the ring,
10:00followed by Orange Cassidy,
10:03they have a phenomenal match
10:05for the Continental Championship,
10:08and when I say phenomenal match,
10:09look,
10:10I'm not saying this is a five-star quality match,
10:12but under the circumstances,
10:13as emotionally as these guys have to be,
10:17it was pretty solid,
10:18it really was,
10:19and Mox,
10:20I feel confident in saying that
10:23how he feels must be,
10:25with the fact that Pac was into Death Riders,
10:27and they work so closely together,
10:29I can't imagine what Mox is feeling,
10:30keep in mind,
10:32Mox's relationship with Pac
10:33goes back much earlier than this,
10:35they knew each other in NXT,
10:37they had been in other indies
10:39prior to their arrival in WWE,
10:41this,
10:42I can't imagine what this was doing to Mox,
10:44trying to get through this match,
10:46one of the shockers of the night,
10:48when the match is over,
10:49Daniel Bryan,
10:49or Bryan Danielson,
10:50I apologize,
10:51it's been a little while,
10:52Bryan Danielson's music hits,
10:54and he comes to the ring,
10:55gets in the ring,
10:57at first,
10:58Mox turns his back to him,
10:59and then he turns around and faces Daniel Bryan,
11:01Bryan Danielson,
11:02I'm going to mess that up all night long,
11:04because I'm emotional as well,
11:05and they embrace,
11:06and it's a long embrace,
11:07and it's beautiful,
11:08it's a great way to head into commercial,
11:10with all the history there,
11:12this was very special,
11:14you know,
11:15very,
11:15very special,
11:16from there,
11:17Hangman Adam Page,
11:19has a promo in the back,
11:21talking about his experience with Pac,
11:22and if you remember,
11:23it was Hangman Adam Page,
11:25who was supposed to face Pac,
11:26Pac at the first double or nothing,
11:27but there were some visa concerns,
11:29so they flew Hangman,
11:30to Europe,
11:32to the United Kingdom,
11:33to have a match with Pac there,
11:34because they weren't going to be able to deliver,
11:36on the match at double or nothing,
11:38the first year that AEW was in existence,
11:41so,
11:42very poetic to see Hangman,
11:44talk so eloquently about Pac,
11:47talk about how much he meant to him,
11:49you know,
11:50all these guys,
11:50who've gone to war in the ring,
11:52it really is a family,
11:54it really is special,
11:55the bonds are real,
11:56the bonds are special,
11:57this was a really,
11:59really nice interview,
12:00leading to,
12:01what I think some people really,
12:04I,
12:04the first real shocker for me,
12:06because,
12:07the matches weren't all,
12:08at least I didn't see the matches,
12:10prior to watching the show,
12:11if they were out there somewhere,
12:12I was not aware,
12:13I didn't see that,
12:14I'm watching the show in real time,
12:15and I,
12:16I got chills,
12:18the Don Callis family comes out,
12:20Kyle Fletcher,
12:20Rocky Romero,
12:22Trent Barretta,
12:23Kevin Knight,
12:24and as they get to the ring,
12:26their opponents,
12:27are the elite,
12:28and I don't mean one,
12:29or two,
12:30or three,
12:31all four,
12:32Kenny Omega,
12:33Nick and Matt Jackson,
12:34the Young Bucks,
12:35and Hangman Adam Page,
12:36reuniting for the first time in a while,
12:38to be in this match,
12:40against the Don Callis family,
12:42and again,
12:44fantastic match,
12:46almost,
12:47I,
12:48I understood,
12:48the elite win the match,
12:49so let's jump right to that,
12:51the elite win,
12:52and I say that for a different reason,
12:54when you think about it,
12:55the members of the Don Callis family,
12:57that are in there,
12:58that mean the most,
12:58Kevin Knight,
12:59and Kyle Fletcher,
13:00no disrespect to Rocky Romero,
13:01or Trent Barretta,
13:02but Romero and Barretta,
13:03are on the back end of their career,
13:05where Fletcher and Knight,
13:08are on the come up,
13:10for them to get out there,
13:11with the elite,
13:12and get this rub,
13:13and have this beautiful match,
13:15not,
13:15again,
13:16not the most insane,
13:17crazy,
13:17over the top match,
13:18in the history of wrestling,
13:19but a very respectful,
13:21very solid,
13:21technically sound match,
13:23it was beautiful,
13:24and I know,
13:25I was reading about,
13:26or I,
13:27it wasn't even reading,
13:28it was,
13:28I actually heard,
13:29Will Ospreay's interview,
13:31with Chris Van Vliet,
13:32where he talked about,
13:34how hard it was,
13:35for Kenny Omega,
13:36to get ready for the match,
13:37at All In,
13:38to see Kenny come out,
13:39and perform tonight,
13:41you know,
13:42knowing that he's,
13:43dealing with a lot of injuries,
13:44and a long,
13:45long,
13:45long injury history,
13:46maybe winding down,
13:48his career very soon,
13:49for him to come out,
13:50and have this match,
13:51was just,
13:52nothing short of beautiful,
13:53it really,
13:54really was,
13:55congrats to the elite,
13:56for putting on,
13:56just a wonderful show,
13:58in this match,
13:59we get a interview,
14:00with Cash Wheeler,
14:02who was,
14:03incredibly emotional,
14:04he's another person,
14:06who would have known,
14:06Pac for years,
14:08and years,
14:08and years,
14:08but specifically,
14:09would have also known him,
14:11in NXT,
14:12when he was still,
14:12Adrian Neville,
14:14he would have been,
14:15arriving in NXT,
14:16right when Neville,
14:17was wrapping up his NXT run,
14:18but still there'd be,
14:19some overlap there,
14:22and we,
14:23from there we get,
14:24Jay White,
14:24another interview,
14:25and talking about how,
14:26and I think it's so important,
14:27to state,
14:28he doesn't know,
14:29if Pac realized,
14:31just how important he was,
14:32to everybody else,
14:34which is such a compliment,
14:36and it's a shame,
14:37also at the same time,
14:38you want,
14:38you would love to be able,
14:39to use your words,
14:40more frequently,
14:41and tell people what they mean,
14:42but it was a really,
14:43a beautiful tribute,
14:44a beautiful comment,
14:45from Jay White,
14:45and I really loved all of that,
14:47and then we get to,
14:48what for me,
14:49was one of the hardest things,
14:50to watch,
14:51and I apologize,
14:52earlier I said,
14:53Tony Schiavone,
14:54had the responsibility,
14:54I made that mistake,
14:55it was not,
14:56it was Renee Paquette,
14:57who had the hardest responsibility,
14:59of my opinion,
15:00and that is,
15:01she had to read a statement,
15:02from Pac's family,
15:04his wife Natalie,
15:05his mother Jillian,
15:06his father Stephen,
15:08thanking the fans,
15:09for their outpouring,
15:10of love and support,
15:11and all the things,
15:12the well wishes,
15:13that have come in,
15:14and it was just,
15:16I can't imagine being Renee,
15:18trying to get through that,
15:19that was incredibly powerful,
15:21incredibly beautiful,
15:22they got to watch,
15:24this young man,
15:24grow up on a world stage,
15:26and just leave it,
15:28an unbelievable imprint,
15:30on the wrestling industry,
15:32it was beautiful,
15:32that they included that,
15:33in the show,
15:34then we got something,
15:36and I'm going to be honest with you,
15:37up until this point,
15:38of the show,
15:38I was feeling the emotions,
15:40I was able to keep them in check,
15:42this got me,
15:43this got me,
15:44and it got me good,
15:45Swerve Strickland,
15:46in the new level,
15:47the AEW trios world champions,
15:49come to the ring,
15:51they lay their belts down,
15:52in the middle of the ring,
15:53and they placed,
15:55a towel,
15:56with Pac's face on it,
15:57over the belts,
15:58and shared this beautiful embrace,
16:00in the middle of the ring,
16:01Pac two time trios champion,
16:03one time with Death Triangle,
16:05once with the Death Riders,
16:08powerful stuff man,
16:09powerful powerful stuff,
16:11to see them,
16:12leave that belt in the ring,
16:14and just have that moment,
16:16and be a tribute,
16:18to a championship,
16:20that he helped create,
16:21he really helped put on the map,
16:23it was just beautiful,
16:26from there,
16:27we get an interview with Ricochet,
16:30Ricochet's interview really,
16:32it was very special,
16:33because he talked about,
16:34living with Pac,
16:35way back when Pac,
16:37and he were both in Dragon Gate,
16:39so much of Pac's journey,
16:40went through Dragon Gate,
16:41he had so much respect,
16:42for Dragon Gate,
16:43if you don't remember,
16:44when he first got to AEW,
16:46he was the Dragon Gate champion,
16:47and the word was,
16:49he did not want to lose,
16:50any matches as Dragon Gate champion,
16:52because he wanted to respect,
16:53that world championship,
16:54and keep it strong,
16:55and it may have been,
16:56almost a divisive thing,
16:57when he first got to the company,
16:58but he did that,
16:59because of how much respect,
17:00he had for that championship,
17:03when you see that Ricochet,
17:05was a part of his journey,
17:06in Dragon Gate,
17:07and that they literally,
17:07lived together,
17:08and he learned so much,
17:10from him in that time,
17:11it was wonderful,
17:12it was absolutely beautiful,
17:13the demand come out,
17:14they have a towel,
17:15with Ricochet's,
17:16or I apologize,
17:17with Pac's face on it,
17:19they're on the way to the ring,
17:20for what I thought,
17:21was going to be the main event,
17:22it turned out,
17:23it was not the case,
17:24Ricochet facing Will Ospreay,
17:25was on Will Ospreay music hits,
17:27he comes out,
17:30he has Andrade,
17:32El Idolo,
17:33Speedball Mike Bailey,
17:34Francesco Akira,
17:35with him,
17:36to back him up,
17:37but I thought,
17:37what was really touching,
17:39is as he got in the ring,
17:40he gave a hug,
17:41to the gates of agony,
17:42you know,
17:43you're getting ready,
17:44to go to war,
17:44with a guy who,
17:46you know,
17:46on TV normally,
17:47these guys are the heels,
17:48he's the baby face,
17:49this wouldn't happen,
17:50but this I'm sure,
17:51was so emotional,
17:52for him,
17:53with everything he's been through,
17:55and the relationship,
17:56he's had with Pac,
17:57the video highlights,
17:58of he and Pac,
17:59were played at several times,
18:00throughout the night,
18:01so it was a beautiful thing,
18:02to see,
18:03you know,
18:03just that,
18:04that genuine showing of emotion,
18:06for the gates of agony,
18:07and then they have their match,
18:08and listen,
18:10it's not ever going to be,
18:12their,
18:13you know,
18:14mid-20 teens,
18:15New Japan Pro Wrestling,
18:16best of the Super Juniors match,
18:17it's not,
18:19Will Ospreay's bigger now,
18:20he's thicker now,
18:21he's at a much more advanced age,
18:23and has had many more injuries,
18:25Ricochet,
18:26that was pre-WWE time,
18:27he went through that entire run in WWE,
18:29so they're just very different people now,
18:32but the fact that they got to have this match,
18:34and look,
18:34like I said about other matches,
18:35this is not a five-star banger,
18:37that's going to be match of the year candidate,
18:39it's not,
18:39but it served a purpose,
18:41it was a beautiful representation,
18:43of all the poetry in motion,
18:45for lack of better terms,
18:46these two have in the ring together,
18:48the chemistry that they have,
18:50and really paying tribute to someone,
18:53in a beautiful way,
18:54with the high-flying stuff,
18:56and none,
18:56none less,
18:57no more,
18:58none more so,
18:58than the end of the match,
19:00where you get to see,
19:02Will Ospreay,
19:04perform the Black Arrow,
19:05to pick up the win,
19:06so he uses Pac's move,
19:08to pick up the win,
19:09it's absolutely beautiful,
19:10when the match is over,
19:12the United Empire get into the ring,
19:13they embrace Will Ospreay,
19:15and then what I thought was,
19:17really difficult to watch,
19:18because Ospreay is a balling mess,
19:20he's sobbing uncontrollably,
19:22and he ends up embracing Ricochet,
19:24and I mean,
19:25this was a long,
19:26long hug,
19:28it's genuine,
19:29it's real,
19:29it's emotions,
19:31and then you know,
19:32the demand and the United Empire,
19:34both in the ring,
19:34all embracing,
19:36sometimes Key Fabe,
19:37needs to stay out of the business,
19:39this was beautiful,
19:40this was seeing all these wrestlers,
19:41who have such a personal connection,
19:43to Pac,
19:44being able to just be real,
19:46and show that love,
19:47show that caring,
19:48everybody with their armbands on tonight,
19:50all that stuff,
19:51this was absolutely perfect,
19:53it really really was,
19:54from there,
19:55we get a video,
19:56from Will Ospreay,
19:57talking about his relationship with Pac,
19:59how,
19:59you know,
20:00the fact that they spent so much time,
20:03together,
20:04you know,
20:04before,
20:04you know,
20:05getting famous,
20:06and Will Ospreay,
20:08really wanting to,
20:09emulate,
20:10or,
20:10or,
20:11catch up to Pac,
20:12in some way,
20:13shape,
20:13or form,
20:14and the fact that they got to share the ring together,
20:16was,
20:16was wonderful,
20:17it's awesome to hear that,
20:19and hear him look back on it,
20:20so positively,
20:21from there,
20:22we get into a women's six-man tag team match,
20:24Mercedes,
20:24Monet,
20:25Persephone,
20:26and Dr. Britt Baker,
20:27in Pittsburgh,
20:28so I actually expect Britt Baker to win,
20:30taking on Marina Shafir,
20:31Haian,
20:32and Thunder Rosa,
20:33I looked at this,
20:34and I thought,
20:35Haian's in the match to take the fall,
20:38and I was wrong,
20:40the interesting thing here is,
20:41maybe because of her affiliation with Pac,
20:44but,
20:44they have a very physical match,
20:46lots of high spots,
20:47lots of special moves,
20:50Mercedes seemed like she was,
20:52not having her best match,
20:53and that's not a knock on Mercedes,
20:55I think she was so overwhelmed with emotion,
20:57she was struggling,
20:58to be able to do this,
20:59remember,
21:00again,
21:00Mercedes,
21:01black and gold era,
21:04NXT,
21:05would have been there at the exact time,
21:07Adrian Neville's ascension to the NXT championship,
21:10these two have a long,
21:12long history,
21:13she seemed like it was affecting her,
21:15Marina Shafir was clearly a mess,
21:17most of the match,
21:18all the ladies,
21:19seem to be very much affected by this,
21:22the ending of the match,
21:23Marina Shafir ends up picking up,
21:24the win with the brutalizer,
21:27when,
21:27on Britt Baker of all people,
21:29that really surprised me,
21:31leading to a huge hug,
21:33for her and Jon Moxley after the match,
21:36if you watch really close in the background,
21:38as they're panning backwards,
21:40and Moxley's in the ring holding Marina Shafir,
21:41if you look in the background,
21:43you can see Thunder Rosa and Aubrey Edwards,
21:45the referee,
21:46sharing their own embrace,
21:47it was so obvious,
21:48how this was affecting everybody on the show,
21:51so,
21:52you know,
21:52it was nice to see just,
21:53again,
21:54more genuine emotion,
21:55they have an interview with Swerve Strickland,
21:57talking about,
21:58where he first met Pac,
22:00which was at a Dragon Gate show,
22:02years and years ago,
22:03talking about what he meant to him,
22:06it's,
22:06from there we go,
22:07right into Darby Allen,
22:08who was getting very emotional also,
22:11they had that,
22:11that really interesting,
22:12that infield,
22:13baseball stadium match,
22:15that they had,
22:16he spoke so beautifully,
22:18so beautifully,
22:20of,
22:20of Pac,
22:21and,
22:21I felt like Darby Allen,
22:24of all the people who spoke,
22:25up until that point,
22:26with the,
22:26with the vignette videos,
22:27and things like that,
22:29he seemed to be,
22:31he was like the equivalent,
22:32almost of the Jeff Jarrett,
22:33when Owen Hart passed,
22:34if that makes any sense,
22:35to people who've been around,
22:36long enough to watch that,
22:38he just,
22:38it was so real,
22:40it was so raw,
22:41and you could tell,
22:41he was fighting it the whole time,
22:42not to have a full on breakdown,
22:44because he was just trying to get out,
22:45what he wanted to say,
22:47and he,
22:47at times seemed like he was struggling,
22:49from there we get what actually was,
22:51the main event,
22:53a 10 man tag team match,
22:54the Don Callis family,
22:56consisting of Mark Davis,
22:58Jack Doyle,
22:59Josh Alexander,
23:00Lance Archer,
23:00and a returning Wardlow,
23:02I believe,
23:04I,
23:04in my heart of hearts,
23:05I believe Wardlow's return,
23:07was not meant for this show,
23:09they promoted him at all out,
23:11and it was clear,
23:11he was coming back,
23:12but I believe they wanted to save that,
23:14for a big return,
23:14but instead,
23:15because of the serious nature,
23:18of the loss of PAC,
23:20Wardlow returns,
23:21their opponents,
23:23the Death Riders,
23:24taking on,
23:25Claudio Castagnoli,
23:26Wheeler Yuta,
23:28Daniel Garcia,
23:29Gabe Kidd,
23:30and here's where it got interesting,
23:32five on four in the ring,
23:33Jon Moxley is on the outside of the ring,
23:35he is not in wrestling gear,
23:36he's got the hoodie on,
23:38and he goes through the ringside area,
23:40and they're acting like they're shocked about this,
23:42and the big reveal,
23:44the most shocking part of tonight's show,
23:46all in all,
23:47if you pay attention to the news about this gentleman previously,
23:51they've talked about how he's not at every show,
23:53because it's so difficult for him to travel,
23:55his neck problems are so,
23:57so bad,
23:58we see the return of Brian Danielson,
24:02to team with the Death Riders,
24:04coming out in a PAC shirt,
24:06the yes chance in full force,
24:08I'm man enough to admit,
24:09I cried like a two-year-old baby,
24:11it was beautiful to see Daniel Bryan back in the ring,
24:14they had Brian Danielson,
24:15see I did it again,
24:15and my fear was,
24:18is he would get hurt doing something,
24:19because his neck is in such bad shape,
24:21I'll be honest with you,
24:22with the exception of a couple bobbles here and there,
24:24which you have to expect with the timing,
24:26and the time away from the ring,
24:28it's been a couple years,
24:29he looked like he could still go pretty well to me,
24:31I'm just being honest,
24:32I'm sure he's probably feeling miserable now,
24:34because you know your body has some muscle memory,
24:36but taking bumps is different from muscle memory,
24:38and he took some pretty heavy bumps here,
24:40at one point I saw him hold his neck,
24:41that really scared me a little bit,
24:43I was very concerned for his health,
24:45but this match,
24:46again,
24:47not a five-star,
24:48like rock'em,
24:49sock'em,
24:50killer Dave Meltzer,
24:51over-the-top match,
24:53but it served a purpose,
24:55it let everybody get great high spots in,
24:57showcased every talent,
24:58everybody got an opportunity,
25:00to do their little piece,
25:02to honor Pac,
25:03and I think that was what this match was meant to be,
25:05Wardlow hit some real heavy shots,
25:07hitting his powerbomb,
25:08things like that,
25:09that was all awesome,
25:11the surprise to me,
25:12is seeing Daniel Garcia pick up the win,
25:15that was something I did not expect,
25:17but the Death Riders do win the match,
25:20and it's powerful,
25:22you know,
25:22if I remember right,
25:23I think he pinned Jack Doyle,
25:24or Mark Davis,
25:26it was one or the other,
25:26I think it was Jack Doyle,
25:27that was pinned by Daniel Garcia,
25:31you know,
25:31Bryan Danielson hit a lot of high spots,
25:33a lot of running knees,
25:34he did some nifty stuff with Wheeler Yuta,
25:36when the match is over,
25:37everybody in the ring is hugging,
25:40Moxley's outside the ring,
25:41he actually,
25:41they said it on commentary,
25:42he went over to Wardlow,
25:43was complimenting Wardlow,
25:45before he eventually gets in the ring,
25:47the outpouring of emotion,
25:48at one point they did a close up,
25:49of Marina Shafir's face,
25:50and she looked like she was trying,
25:52so hard to keep it in,
25:53it was beautiful,
25:56multiple hugs going around,
25:57and then from there,
25:59we get,
25:59wow,
26:00just saying,
26:00it's almost making me emotional all over again,
26:02we get a beautiful video package,
26:04to the memory of Pac,
26:06Benjamin Satterley,
26:08it covered his entire career,
26:09minus his WWE time,
26:11and talk about an opportunity,
26:13for Triple H and WWE,
26:14to do the right thing,
26:15they really should have sent some footage,
26:17like you know,
26:18the amount of,
26:19of goodwill you earn,
26:21by just sending a little bit of snippets,
26:22of footage from his NXT run,
26:25the opportunity that existed there,
26:27in this horrible,
26:28horrible tragedy,
26:30think of what positive,
26:31could have come from,
26:32Triple H and TKO,
26:34understanding the bigger message,
26:36one,
26:36not running Worlds Collide,
26:37and two,
26:38contacting Tony,
26:39if I'm Triple H,
26:40I would have called Tony Khan,
26:41and said,
26:41what do you need from us,
26:43how can we help,
26:45you know,
26:46and I'll go so far,
26:48as to say,
26:49if WWE really wanted to do it right,
26:51they could have reached out,
26:52to Tony Khan and said,
26:53why don't you not,
26:54before he announced it,
26:56why don't you not do the tribute show tonight,
26:57and why don't we co-promote a tribute show,
27:00it's not out of the realm of possibility,
27:02don't anybody tell me it is,
27:03if we could run Forbidden Door,
27:05with New Japan and AEW,
27:06you could run matches,
27:07matches and shows,
27:08with Triple A,
27:09and WWE,
27:09or you could run shows,
27:10with TNA and WWE,
27:11or all these things,
27:12you could make any pairing happen,
27:14that you want to,
27:15you negotiate out,
27:16who's going to win every match,
27:17you make sure it's very balanced,
27:19so not one side,
27:20is getting all the wins,
27:20or whatever,
27:21do it because it's the right thing to do,
27:23and who knows,
27:24what kind of deal you could have made,
27:25in the future,
27:26had you done this,
27:27instead,
27:27we get this beautiful video package,
27:30without the WWE footage,
27:32and at the end of it,
27:33when Pac says,
27:34you know,
27:35until we meet again,
27:37and he blows a kiss to the camera,
27:38in a pre-taped interview from the past,
27:41wow did it hit like a brick house,
27:44and then they cut back to the scene,
27:47of that empty chair,
27:48sitting in the crowd,
27:49with the spotlight on it,
27:50as they fade to black,
27:51this was,
27:53a beautiful tribute show,
27:55nothing too crazy,
27:56nobody going over the top,
27:58doing insane stuff,
27:59everybody keeping it pretty low key,
28:01because,
28:01probably emotionally,
28:02they probably couldn't handle,
28:03much more than that,
28:04and I respect that,
28:06this show,
28:07you guys know,
28:07I've been doing like star ratings,
28:09when I can about shows,
28:11in terms of in ring action,
28:15five star quality match kind of stuff,
28:16that conversation,
28:17this was not a five star wrestling match show,
28:20it didn't need to be,
28:21that's not what it was here for,
28:23so here's the way I'm going to say this,
28:25match quality,
28:26we have three and a half stars,
28:28but I don't care,
28:29this show gets five stars through and through,
28:31probably the first time I've said five stars for a show,
28:34because it was so well done,
28:36Tony Khan,
28:37like I said before,
28:38kudos to you,
28:39you did the right thing by Pac,
28:41you did the right thing by your talent,
28:42you did the right thing by your fans,
28:44WWE,
28:45you did the wrong thing by the fans,
28:47you did the wrong thing by Pac,
28:48you did the wrong thing by the wrestling industry,
28:51you know,
28:51I'm ashamed of WWE's higher ups,
28:54and this has nothing to do with WWE talent,
28:57I have so much love and respect for their talent,
29:00especially the ones who spoke up,
29:01who did not want to do this,
29:04and yeah,
29:05powerful,
29:05powerful stuff,
29:06very emotional stuff,
29:07I don't,
29:07I don't,
29:08I don't even have words,
29:09I'm so frustrated with WWE right now,
29:11in terms of AEW,
29:14I hope they get the biggest rating in the history of their company,
29:17I really do,
29:17I hope every eye in the wrestling world was on their show,
29:21I hope they get three and a half million views,
29:23I really do,
29:24I would love to see them just get massive amounts of mad respect,
29:28honoring one of their fallen superstars,
29:32hopefully we don't have to do any more of these,
