00:05So I'll be showing you a simple method to turn a JPEG image into a vector file without paying for

00:12Whether you're looking to convert a logo, graphic, icon or other image into a scalable vector,
00:17this tutorial will show you exactly what to do.

00:29So you can see I'm on my desktop.
00:31I've got this picture here, which we're going to be using as an example.
00:35If we right click onto this, I'm going to click on to show more options and then click onto properties.
00:40You can see this is a JPEG file.
00:43It's just a image of a Maltese dog like this.
00:46So to do this, we're going to be using a free website.
00:50Now there's a number of free websites you can do this with,
00:52but the one I personally prefer to use is called freeconvert.com.
00:57So if you come across to the website, what you want to do is click the blue choose files button.
01:03And what it's going to do is open up your computer's file explorer.
01:06Now from here, we're just going to locate our image.
01:08So it's on our desktop.
01:10Let's go ahead and find our image, which is here.
01:13Then what we're going to do is double click to add this to the website.
01:16Now, once you do this, you're going to see the output box to the right hand side, click onto the
01:21drop down box.
01:22And from here, you want to select SVG, which is the file extension for a vector file.
01:27Once that's done, just simply click the convert now button.
01:30And as you can see, it's going to get to work, upload and convert that file.
01:34As you can see, the file has now finished converting.
01:37What we can do is just simply click the download button here, which is going to download this onto our
01:42computer.
01:42And you can see it has now downloaded as a dot SVG, which is, of course, a vector file.
01:49So that's how to convert a JPEG to a vector.
