00:00John, we did brush on this a little bit that the Giants side of this, we talked a lot about
00:05the Rams. The Giants had so many injuries on Monday. I mean, my God, it feels like every play they
00:13had somebody else injured.
00:15And I wanted to kind of hit that because, listen, there's a lot of talk about this Giants team. There's
00:21a lot of talk about what they were going to look like in week two after such a good week
00:26one. Brian Burns got injured late. He got his ankle stepped on. Malik Neighbors was dealing with the shoulder. It
00:34looked like he was not even going to be able to play, but he did come back in and give
00:38it a go. Wasn't really effective at all as he was in week one.
00:40And obviously the big one, Jackson Dart, who it looks like pretty significant knee injury. Now he was walking around.
00:48They did say on the broadcast that he did want to come back in, but hey, I don't think that
00:53was going to happen anyways. It's just, that's what NFL players do. They want to come back into the game.
00:57But he had, it looked like a hyper extension, which could be an MCL. I don't know. They had video
01:02of a trainer saying four to six weeks to John Harbaugh.
01:05Which was wild. Which was wild to say that. Not even covering your mouth. Cover your mouth, buddy. Is it
01:12your first day as a trainer?
01:13So I can basically say that he'll probably be out for four to six weeks without getting the official MRI
01:21results. But for you, does this change anything about the Giants for you? Because a lot of people were kind
01:26of hyped about them coming out of week one. Like, oh, they'll be better than expected. They played more physical.
01:30Jackson Dart looks good. Does this change anything for you? Or is it just like, ah, well, they're going to
01:34be bad anyways?
01:35No, no, this alters everything. Because Jackson Dart is such a massive part of the way that they present their
01:40offense. His running ability and his ability to just make a play at the end of the game.
01:45If things are close, he's the, he has one of the dual threats in the league and he's earned that
01:50level of respect that he's now getting. And for him to not be on the field really hurts what the
01:55Giants want to do.
01:56I think you're going to see them trying to go back to the drawing board if it is four to
02:00six weeks, which is roughly a month. And they're going to try to recreate their offense through Jameis Winston.
02:04But running the ball was a massive part of their offensive plan. And if you take that away, what, if
02:13Jameis plays like that, you got no chance. I'm sorry.
02:17Again, you won't play defenses as high geared as this. But at the same time, you got to complete the
02:26pass. Because Scattaboo does you no good.
02:29The 300-pound fullback, which again, every time I see him in motion, I'm like, this is going to hurt
02:34somebody. And bang, bang, bang.
02:38Then you got to tackle Scattaboo after that. They have the makings of a very basic but very nasty offense.
02:45We will run you over. And as the great Marshawn Lynch would say, again and again and again.
02:52And repetitiously. But if you do not have the threat of the pass, if you don't have the threat of
02:58the play action from the running back, you don't have the threat of the poop.
03:02What? Because there was a play in this game where Jameis Winston had like 15 yards to run.
03:07He got sacked. He got tackled by Byron Young.
03:12No, no. This one, he threw it. And it was way off the mark. And it wasn't even close to
03:19the guy.
03:19And so you are now dealing with a completely different skill set of athlete.
03:24And I don't know if Jameis Winston at this point has it in his career, has it left in the
03:29tank,
03:30to really make the Giants a legitimate threat to win their division until Jackson Dart gets back?
03:38I mean, you got to at least, you know, for me, like what their process is.
03:45Because like you said before, I think if Jackson Dart was healthy in this game,
03:49if Malik and the neighbors didn't hurt his shoulder, if Brian Burns got hurt late in the game,
03:54but if you put those guys back onto the field, the Rams made enough mistakes on Monday to make it
04:02close.
04:02I really do believe that.
04:04Let me say this about Malik neighbors.
04:07If Jackson Dart is on the field, Malik neighbors are still trying to catch those passes.
04:12When Jameis Winston was throwing those passes, Malik neighbors like, nah, I'm good on you, man.
04:17No, no, no.
04:18The shoulder injury?
04:20Yeah, I ain't finna quit on the route, but I ain't finna put both my hands up.
04:23Like, you could visibly see he was less aggressive at the top of these routes
04:29because Jameis Winston was throwing, hey, do you want to go in the IR2 balls?
04:34Like, sub sandwiches, zip you, extra vinegar.
04:39You know, it was funny.
04:41Even on the broadcast, Troy Aikman and Joe Buck were like, we don't really see anything there.
04:46I don't see anything that would cause a shoulder injury.
04:49He went to like the bench.
04:51Right.
04:51He's like, ah, because I think it may have popped out.
04:55Oh, baby.
04:56And so in popping it back in, at that point, he's like, okay, I'm okay.
05:01I'm okay.
05:01But then you get out there and start moving.
05:03And then you look at that ball coming.
05:04You're like, nah, I'm good.
05:06Nah, I'm good.
05:07A lot of these passes from Jameis Winston, they're just like, oh my God, someone's coming.
05:13I got to get rid of it.
05:15There's no game plan.
05:17He literally looked like one of the most unprepared backup quarterbacks I've ever seen.
05:22He did not want to play on Monday night.
05:25Jameis is the king of pat the ball, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, draw up the
05:32play
05:32on the ball.
05:34Bruh.
05:34Yeah, that's right.
05:35Jameis had that thing on Sandlot, boy.
05:38John Harbaugh, like he was about to pass a gallstone.
05:40Bro, what are you, Jameis, what are you doing?
