00:33As we learned in the movie Die Hard, stealing cash or gold is really difficult.
00:38But stealing cryptocurrency can be done on a massive scale very easily.
00:42And the only tool you need is a laptop.
00:45Our laptops and cell phones are amazingly useful inventions, and we're glued to them the majority of our waking life.
00:51But the same thing that makes them incredible for Web2 applications like email, web, and games is what makes them
00:58downright terrible at protecting Web3 value, such as cryptocurrency.
01:03These Web2-era devices are built to run anything, including malware from an attacker looking to get access to your
01:10private keys.
01:11This is why I would never store my cryptocurrency with an exchange or in a software-only wallet.
01:17To be secure, you need a hardware wallet.
