00:00It's another sweltering weekend across the southern U.S., but relief is on the way for some of you.
00:04Saturday, AccuWeather railfield temperatures climb into the triple digits from Dallas and Houston to Memphis and Atlanta.
00:09And we're still challenging records from Indiana and Kentucky to Tennessee and Arkansas.
00:13Sunday could feel even hotter in some spots, with railfields of 100 degrees or higher from Austin to Central Tennessee
00:19and Alabama.
00:20There will be some relief from thunderstorms this weekend, mainly during the afternoon from the Carolinas through Georgia, Alabama, and
00:26Florida.
00:26But in Texas and Oklahoma, storms stay much more limited, allowing temperatures to just soar.
00:31And don't expect the heat to disappear immediately.
00:34Memphis, for example, stays near 100 through Monday, before finally dropping into the lower 90s Tuesday and upper 80s by
00:41Wednesday.
