00:00I'm ready to throw dirt on Patrick Mahomes and the whole Andy Reid dynasty.
00:07And what did they do last night?
00:08They proved me wrong again.
00:10Man, they blew out that Broncos team.
00:12And I thought that Broncos team had the best roster in the AFC.
00:15And I still think that.
00:17But I was really impressed last night.
00:19What says you with that Chiefs team this year in 2026?
00:23Well, as you said, the theme of week one is always what questions are going to be answered.
00:28And the questions going in for this year for the Kansas City Chiefs.
00:31The Chiefs fans out there, Chiefs Kingdom wanted to see two things in week one.
00:35How was Patrick Mahomes going to respond from his ACL injury and reconstructive surgery in the offseason?
00:40How was he going to look in his return starting week one?
00:43And number two, how was Kenneth Walker going to fit into this offense coming over from the Seattle Seahawks,
00:48the NFL or the Super Bowl MVP last year?
00:51And Dan, I think of all the teams, man, they answered every single question with flying colors.
00:56Kenneth Walker, almost 180 rushing yards last night, outgained the entire Denver Broncos offense by himself.
01:04Absolutely carried that team.
01:05But it all started with 15.
01:07It all started with Patrick Mahomes and what he was able to do settling that offense.
01:12Obviously, they had a focus on running the football early.
01:14Andy Reid hasn't had a running back like this since Jamal Charles.
01:17For all you guys out there that remember Jamal Charles of the days of fantasy football,
01:20had him in a five-touchdown game.
01:22No worries.
01:23But it looks like they got a guy once again, right?
01:25But 15 coming out there looking aggressive.
01:27And I'm sure Andy Reid was holding his breath when he ran the football and scored that opening touchdown.
01:32But that's the type of plays that he's made.
01:34That's why they've won so many Super Bowls.
01:35And as you said, a lot of people thought this team was dead.
01:38But newsflash, here comes the boogeyman.
01:40Just real quick on the other side, though, the Broncos, I didn't like this team last year.
01:45I thought that they were obviously, you know, very, very good defensively.
01:48But I'm going to read you a stat from NextGenStats that got posted yesterday.
01:51The Broncos missed 28 tackles against the Chiefs, allowing 247 yards after missed tackles.
01:58The most yards allowed by any defense in a game since at least 2018.
02:03So, yes, you have the situation where Bo Nix looked a bit pedestrian.
02:06Yes, you have a new offensive coordinator and things like that.
02:08But this defense was terrible last night.
02:11They could not tackle anybody.
02:12It was the old meme of the guy just letting people walk into the stadium.
02:15You know, that was them tackling last night, seeing ghosts.
02:18So, the Chiefs answered every single question.
02:20And the Broncos, yeah, they've got a lot of work they need to do,
02:23especially on a short week going into the toughest schedule over the next six games of the regular season.
02:28So, no time to cry if you're a Broncos fan.
02:30You've got to flush this one, move on, and hopefully get back to business next week.
02:34And we also had a Travis Swift siding last night, too.
02:38So, the dude was playing some pretty good ball.
02:40Yeah, a little rumble down there in the middle there.
