00:00Well, I'll tell you, if you wanted to see bad quarterback play last night,
00:03Thursday Night Football was your ticket.
00:06Seattle and Denver, man, this thing was bad football at the quarterback position.
00:12And make no mistake about it, these teams needed this game to move forward
00:17to find out who you are.
00:18Now, again, I was just told by my producer, Chris, he just said,
00:22listen, Seattle still has the same odds to win the Super Bowl
00:26as it is to win the NFC West.
00:28That shows you how tough the NFC West is with all those packed teams.
00:32But last night, man, Mike McDonald, he knows.
00:35Dude, no question about it.
00:37You got to give credit.
00:38But, dude, they got to turn this thing around.
00:41Got to give credit to the Broncos.
00:42They played a really good game in all three phases.
00:48Told the team, I just, you have conflicting emotions.
00:51You know, there's no moral victories in the league.
00:55You know, it's a bottom line business, production business.
00:57But I am proud of our effort.
01:01I am proud of the resolve of the team.
01:03I'm proud of our kind of connectedness of our team.
01:09However, there's things that we need to get better at quickly.
01:11And we know those things.
01:14They're within our control.
01:16And that's what we do.
01:17We find solutions.
01:18And we get things figured out.
01:19We move forward.
01:20And we evolve.
01:20And the best teams in this league, they do that.
01:24And that's what we want to be.
01:25We want to be one of the best teams in the league, as we know.
01:26And we believe we can be.
01:28So that's where our focus is going to be over the next few days.
01:32And then we'll be back at it with the players on Monday.
01:36But we got some work ahead of us.
01:39And we'll figure it out.
01:40Got the right people in the building.
01:41Got the right people to do the job.
01:43We got to go to work.
01:45So that's where our focus will go.
01:49Okay.
01:49I just want.
01:50Thank you, Coach.
01:51Appreciate it there.
01:52Effort.
01:52There's no lane when it comes to one loss.
01:55Effort lanes.
01:56When it comes to the NFL.
01:58You make $500,000 a week.
02:00You think I need New Rock me to sit there in a locker room and thank me for effort.
02:04You got to go out and play football, dude.
02:0760 minutes.
02:07Let's go.
02:08You can't sit around there and have a coach talking about effort.
02:11You got to execute, dude.
02:13You're three and three on the season right now.
02:16Need a New Rock me speech.
02:17And then you get Sam Darnold.
02:18I mean, dude, the lost woodsman here.
02:21When you look at him and the way he's talking right now, you want to know how you throw picks?
02:25This guy's got the market on throwing picks.
02:29Yeah, no way to sugarcoat it.
02:30That one sucked.
02:33You know, can't turn the ball over.
02:35You know, that's obviously, you know, at the forefront of my mind.
02:41But there's just a lot, you know, a lot we can do better.
02:45You know, obviously we're driving, we're running the ball, and, you know, we're dropping back
02:51and having some things work in the drop back game.
02:53Some of the play action stuff is a little iffy tonight.
02:56But, yeah, we just got to be better all around, and it starts with me.
03:00So we just got to, you know, look at who we are as an offense, look at kind of things
03:06that we do well,
03:07things that we don't do well, and go from there.
03:10Hey, Sam, you know what close only counts in?
03:13Horseshoes and grenades.
03:14Dude, you can't be throwing picks at the end of ballgames like that.
03:18I mean, you got a championship-style football team.
03:21You got to win yourself some games here, my friend.
03:23Let's get on the other side here.
03:25Sean Payton.
03:26You want to see Sean Payton throw his team under a bus
03:29and tell everybody what a great coaching effort it's been so far at the beginning of the season?
03:35This is a coach breaking his arm off, patting his coaching staff on the back,
03:40and most notably Sean Payton.
03:42As a coach that's never satisfied, what gives you the most reason to smile 4-2 after six games?
03:52The record.
03:53I mean, I say that, the record, because those wins are hard to get.
04:01Come on, coach, really?
04:04Wow, we're really a great staff.
04:08I mean, and I feel like we can make, I mean, I feel like we can continue to improve.
04:14But being at 4-2 right at this little three-day stretch and then get ready next week.
04:20It's okay to pat yourself on the back.
04:22Honest.
04:22You're Sean Payton.
04:23And again, I'm a little bit of a realist to know that 4-2 could easily be 2-4.
04:29Yeah, okay, coach.
04:30Thanks a lot there for breaking your arm off, patting yourself on the back there.
04:34By the way, you want to see the worst quarterback in pro football on one of the best teams in
04:40pro football?
04:41Here's your dude.
04:43I thought I saw the field really well, especially, you know, early when we were given opportunities to sort of
04:50be aggressive.
04:51And then, you know, as the game went on, it, you know, felt like a little bit like, you know,
04:56just third downs were the key.
04:59And then, you know, every once in a while, you know, we had an opportunity to throw it deep again.
05:05And then they were in a, you know, soft cover-to-shell covering it deep.
05:08And we had outlets for, you know, with 10 yards of space.
05:12And so it's just, you know, I don't understand why, you know, we can't really push the ball vertically right
05:18now.
05:18But defenses are just, you know, you don't understand why.
05:23It's because you suck.
05:25We're just going to keep running the football.
05:25We just, hopefully, you're going to find ways to get more out of it.
05:30Self-reflection.
05:32Look in the mirror.
05:33You suck, okay?
05:35I mean, why can't I throw the ball deep down the field?
05:39Well, you suck.
05:42107 yards.
05:43Who's this guy playing for, Army?
05:45That's like an Army quarterback style.
05:48Oh, that's right.
05:49He can't run.
