00:03I think hopefully both our teams are going to be undefeated
00:06when we go to South Bend and play you guys.
00:08But, boy, I'll tell you something about Marcus Freeman.
00:11You know, we have a great rivalry, Joe, Miami-Notre Dame.
00:15But that guy makes it very, very, very easy to like him.
00:19He is such a great-looking coach.
00:21He has elevated the program since Brian Kelly.
00:24Have you been surprised?
00:27No. No, and I'll tell you why.
00:30Because the day it was announced that Marcus was going to be the head coach,
00:34you can look it up online.
00:37The locker room went crazy.
00:39The guys love him.
00:40The guys appreciated him right away.
00:42He's established a culture of winning there.
00:45He holds guys accountable.
00:48People want to come to Notre Dame.
00:49The new facility is unbelievable.
00:51The locker room and everything that has to do with the new center
00:54is absolutely phenomenal.
00:56I think if a kid makes a trip to Notre Dame
00:58and gets a chance to see what's there,
01:00I'm just surprised why nobody else, like everybody, doesn't want to go.
01:03Of course, I'm a little prejudiced in that area.
01:05But I think he's just established a culture that is in special.
01:09And Mike Denbrock, the offensive coordinator, the defensive coordinator,
01:12this could be the best defense Notre Dame has had.
01:15And they've had some sensational ones the last three or four years.
01:18This one could almost be the best.
01:21Absolutely.
01:21Talk about the quarterback for Notre Dame a bit here, in your opinion.
01:26Because, again, at one of the biggest positions you could possibly have
01:29in college football is being a starting quarterback at Notre Dame.
01:32Talk about Carr a little bit.
01:34I think C.J. Carr, if I was going to liken him to anybody in the NFL,
01:37would be Joe Burrow.
01:39Wow.
01:39He's not going to run away from anybody.
01:41He's not going to take off and beat you with his legs.
01:44He has the ability to move.
01:45But the way he throws the football, he's accurate.
01:49He gets it out in time.
01:51And he's got a real great look about him.
01:53The other thing is, too, is we're young behind him.
01:56And fortunately, these last couple of games,
01:58we've had a chance to get our young quarterbacks on the field
02:01and get some playing time.
02:02But C.J. is a very special, special guy.
