03:54The bigger the group, the obviously the greater the dynamics

04:14The lions can get away from each other
04:17So they can
04:19Get some distance
04:20They can isolate themselves
04:22Separate themselves from the
04:23The rest of the pride
04:25Whereas in a captive environment
04:28They cannot
04:30They have to be with
04:31Each other all the time
04:33And sometimes
04:35You know
04:37Personalities do clash
04:40Hormones come into play
04:42Which will sometimes drive the

04:47Nuts
04:47Make them a bit cranky
04:51That's another part of this that I love

05:01So yeah, cranky males means
05:04That there's going to be these fights that break out
05:08And with fights breaking out
05:10There's going to be injuries potentially

05:13What do these walks do?
05:14These walks just
05:15Kind of mimic
05:17What they would
05:18Typically do in the wild
05:19Just they can get away from each other
05:21For a period of time
05:21Typically the walk will last about
05:24Three maybe four hours
05:25Depending on the lines
05:27Depending on the group

05:31What I've found is that
05:32These walks are absolutely necessary

05:37The dynamics
