00:00Hey, we've got strong storms in our forecast for northern Minnesota and central Minnesota.
00:05They're just beginning to ramp up as we step deeper into the evening, though,
00:09especially as we get closer to dark tonight and after dark.
00:13These storms will be fairly intense with damaging wind and hail.
00:16Late bloomers here as a disturbance cuts in from the west.
00:19There could be isolated tornadoes out there as well.
00:22The worst of this is going to be near Bemidji and St. Cloud, up to Duluth,
00:26and up into areas near the rainy river basin.
00:28Damaging wind and hail are the biggest concerns here,
00:31but isolated flooding and tornadoes will also be an issue.
00:35Central Minnesota, we're looking at that.
00:36So as we take a look at this, you can see kind of a late bloomer, but, man, when they
00:40go, they go.
00:40These storms are going to be taking off through the northeastern part of Minnesota, some of Wisconsin as well.
00:44And then we're going to trade places quieter, whether in the north part of the Midwest here,
00:49the upper Midwest on Saturday, but areas between I-80 and I-70 are going to face some heavier thunderstorms.
00:54Iowa down into Missouri on Saturday.
00:56Sunday, both areas get it with a faster-moving disturbance that cuts on through.
01:00And then into Monday, we're getting ready for Monday night football there in Arrowhead Stadium
01:06as we're going to be dealing with some storms nearby,
01:09but we're probably going to be in good shape here for the game itself.
01:12We'll have to keep an eye on that.
01:13Saturday, remember, the storms push south, so it's I-70 and southward with the best chance for severe weather.
01:18Here is I-70 on Saturday afternoon.
01:20Kansas City, St. Joseph's, Salina, Topeka, Lawrence, Wichita, Emporia, Kansas,
01:24into areas around Jefferson City and Columbia, maybe about as far south as Fort Scott and Nevada.
01:31On Sunday, more storms pop across the Missouri River Valley there.
01:35Omaha up into Sioux Falls.
01:37The severe threat is going to be a little greater north of I-80 this time around on Sunday afternoon,
01:41evening, and night.
01:42And then we get into some very heavy rain here, drenching, downpours, flash flooding, all concerns,
01:48but also some drought relief on the positive side into Monday.
01:51So a lot of storms Monday.
01:52Again, Kansas City, we've got Monday night football.
01:55How does that play out?
01:56Well, we've got severe weather just to the north Monday afternoon and night up at the St. Joseph and beyond,
02:00and we're optimistic, but we've got to keep an eye out for radar there in Kansas City itself at 715
02:07Central Time.
