00:00You mentioned some win totals here, Tom.
00:02We're going over some of them, some of the current numbers right now that you can get
00:07in some of the predictive markets, and I want to fade all of these teams.
00:12Like, Pittsburgh's number is 80 or more wins.
00:15They have 71, and I can't trust them as far.
00:20I don't think, call me, Skeens is pitching the rest of the way.
00:24I think they're going to find a point where they're going to shut him down.
00:27I would do the same for Ask Kraft.
00:30Call me nuts.
00:31It's a 50-50 battle, a 60-40, I think, right now.
00:34Yes to the over, 40 to the no.
00:37I don't think they get 80 or more wins.
00:39How's that, Tom?
00:40I don't, and they start a series tonight at the Chicago White Sox.
00:47Then they play at the Chicago Cubs.
00:50Then they play at home versus Milwaukee, home versus Kansas City, home versus St. Louis,
00:56and they end the season at Detroit.
00:57So the next nine games that they play are all against postseason bound teams, right?
01:04We all know that.
01:05Well, Chicago teams, Milwaukee, Kansas City, they've been scrappy as of late.
01:10St. Louis is hanging on by a thread.
01:12And then Detroit, you know, they're probably going to be out of it when it's all said and done,
01:16although they are still hanging by a thread.
01:17So of these next nine games, Joe, how many do they win?
01:21Because that's the real question.
01:23Because if we can get through this pretty cleanly, I think you'd be home free almost.
01:28Two out of these next nine games?
01:30Three out of these next nine games at most?
01:33Are any of these teams going to go 50?
01:35How many wins do the Marlins have?
01:39The Marlins are at 72.
01:42So they're one more game better than Pittsburgh right now.
01:46And yet 80 plus wins for them is about 65 to 55 over and under.
01:53Are they, they got to go what?
01:56So they're going to have to win more than 50% of their games too.
01:59The Marlins have a gauntlet of a schedule.
02:03So they're in the series.
02:04Look at that.
02:04They're in the series versus the Mets.
02:06They lost last night.
02:08Two more against the Mets.
02:09And listen, the Mets are the easiest team they have remaining on their schedule.
02:13They played the Dodgers at Arizona, at San Diego, at Chicago Cubs,
02:19and then home versus Atlanta to end the season.
02:22They're playing literally 100% of postseason bound teams
02:26after these next two games against the Mets today and tomorrow.
02:29And then it's literally all teams that are fighting tooth and nail,
02:33specifically the Dimebacks and the Padres.
02:35I do not see that as a, as a good thing for the Marlins.
02:38It's a no for me.
02:40I'm with you there.
02:41And what about the surging?
02:43Oh boy, they let one get away yesterday with Dylan Cease in Toronto.
02:46Well, what do you think the chance of them getting 85 wins is?
02:51Zero.
02:53Zero chance?
02:54Zero.
02:5513 more wins?
02:5613 more wins for the Blue Jays?
02:59Are they going to be that final postseason team?
03:02I mean, it feels like a ton, right?
03:04But stranger things have happened.
03:07One team is going to get hot and ride it right into the postseason, right?
03:10How is the schedule for Toronto moving forward?
03:13Because I don't think they have any against the Yankees, do they?
03:16No, they're done against the Yankees.
03:17So it's, it's kind of the same thing with the Pirates, where they're, they're playing
03:22teams that are either A in it or kind of scrappy.
03:26They are playing the athletics, you know, outside of this series, the current series
03:29with the athletics, two more tonight and then tomorrow.
03:31They're playing Baltimore, who a team is, again, in the same spot.
03:34They are fighting tooth and nail for everything.
03:35Detroit's not technically out of it.
03:37They play them next.
03:38Then they're at Texas Rangers.
03:39Rangers could still win.
03:41The AOS still win the division.
03:42They need everyone they get.
03:43Then they play at Baltimore.
03:45And they need everyone they can at that point.
03:47It may not be locked up.
03:48The, you know, the Orioles may be technically in it, but they could be like four games out
03:52at that point.
03:52And then they end the season versus the Reds, who we know are out.
03:54So outside of the athletics and the Reds, every other game is against teams that are still
03:58in the mix in some capacity.
04:00So them getting 13 more wins would stun me.
04:04Absolutely stunning.
04:05That would be, they ride that momentum in.
04:07They did this last year, too.
04:09I mean, they rode that momentum straight through, which was just crazy.
04:13And the Yankees currently 30 cents to the yes for getting 95 or more wins.
04:21I don't see it.
04:21I actually have a small position on the Yankees that I have.
04:26If I could find this real quick.
04:27It's like under 92 wins on the Yankees that I bet.
04:31Okay.
04:32Yeah.
04:32I bet it just a little while ago, just for the sake of putting it in, if I can find
04:37it
04:37under 91 and a half, so they already get to 92.
04:41I did get that plus 157.
04:43So getting a future in there with a little bit of a promotion is never a bad thing.
04:48And obviously, you know, I'll put my hand up a little bit of emotional hedge as the Yankees
04:51fan, take the under on it.
04:53And if they exceed it, you know, not the worst bet I've ever lost.
04:56We're all going to lose bets.
04:57So under 91 and a half, which is 10 more wins for them or 11 more wins to get to
05:0292.
05:0453.
05:04So we, and what do we got just about 20 games left for them?
05:0820 some odd games left for the Yankees.
05:1119.
05:13Boy, it's going to be a race to the finish.
