00:15Obviously, they could use another arm, a dominant closer.
00:18I think the Cubs in the same division, by the way,
00:20could use some extra arms like Aroldis Chapman, too.
00:23So this is a little bit of a coin flip guessing game.
00:26I would say it's a no on San Diego.
00:28I mean, they're not going to be in a spot to compete for the playoffs.
00:33And granted, they may be able to offer back a high-level package for him,
00:36but that's just not a team where I anticipate him going.
00:39Him alongside Uribe in Milwaukee is really interesting.
00:42But I think the team that I had, I think, has a real shot would be Tampa Bay.
00:46You know, Tampa Bay is a team that could use another bullpen arm
00:50alongside Brian Baker, who has been fantastic.
00:52But you're in a spot to compete this year,
00:54and if you can get him for a reasonable price,
00:56you might as well add him while you can.
00:57And when you are leading the division in a spot to have home field advantage
01:00going into the playoffs.
01:03Christian Walker, I mean, I don't know if Houston ends up moving him.
01:06If you would have told me that this would have been his season,
01:09Houston would be like, all right, take him as fast as you can.
01:11Get rid of him.
01:11But how can they do that if they're still fighting for the postseason?
01:14It looked like a bad contract last year.
01:16It looks a lot better this year, Tom.
01:18You know, but how can Houston make this move just two games back of the wild card?
01:23So, look, any team could use power.
01:26It's much harder to get value back for a first baseman than it is for any other position
01:30because it's generally a position where players have power as well.
01:34So you'd have to look at the first base market and who could potentially use a player like this.
01:38Yeah, if you are trading Walker, here's how I would put it.
01:42If they trade Walker, that's not the last of their moves.
01:44They're going to trade him and they will trade a number of other players subsequently down the line
01:48because that means they're truly selling.
01:49But to trade just Walker when you're this close in the race, and granted, you know,
01:54we agree that Houston's not going anywhere, but you're still in the race.
01:57So either you trade him and you go all in to trade multiple players
02:00or you don't trade him and he stays on Houston.
02:04Yeah, I think Houston stands pat.
02:06I think they do very little.
02:08All right, we've played this game throughout the spring and the summer.
02:11Mike Trout's next team.
02:13I mean, this is the easiest one for me, Tom, because you can't get this guy by the owner.
02:21Like, if you couldn't get Otani by the owner, there's no way that John Mosaylock
02:26or whoever he hires is going to get Mike Trout past Orte Marino.
02:29Like, the conversation is going to happen and then Marino is going to say no
02:33and then Trout is going to still be on, of course, the Angels.
02:38And he hasn't complained about leaving.
02:39So, I mean, his next team is the team he's on.
02:43I think it's twofold.
02:45And the point you just brought up is that Trout has never truly expressed interest,
02:50at least to my understanding, that he has never asked to be traded.
02:53He's never hinted that he wants to be, you know, on his way out.
02:56There's also a player that's been, you know, very quiet and, you know,
02:59somewhat out of the spotlight throughout his entire career.
03:02There's not a player that has, you know, forced himself to be the centerpiece of baseball.
03:06Like, he's been there because of his skill, but he's never been the one pushing his personality forward.
03:10He's also never demanded to be traded.
03:12So, I would say it's going to be the Angels or one of the options is just retire slash no
03:17team
03:17because he just spends his entire career there.
03:20So, it's either Angels or nothing.
03:24As far as winning the World Series, you would think it's the Dodgers or nothing,
03:27but that's not what we do here on Pro Baseball today.
03:29We're looking for another option.
03:31Let's also not forget, the Dodgers were very close to not winning the World Series
03:35against the Blue Jays last year if Isaiah Kainofalefa is safe at the plate.
03:40Can you find me another option here, Tom?
03:42It's not going to be anyone in the NL for me.
03:43I'm going to try and pivot to somebody in the AL and take a shot.
03:47Yeah, if you're going to pivot to anyone, I would say it would have to be the Rays,
03:50and it's just the Rays based on where the market sits,
03:53how high they are on the Yankees and the Mariners, you know, collectively.
03:57Because if it's not going to be the Yankees and we're still not super sold on the Mariners,
04:02I would say it would be the Rays, and that would be the spot to buy in
04:04because one of those teams is not going to make it, and they're going to drop down.
04:08And if the Yankees don't have home field, it puts the Rays in that much better of a spot.
