11:34scribbling might have a good year and get,

11:37800 yards and stuff,

11:43the concept that if McCaffrey is healthy,
11:45then scribbling can't get a thousand yards might actually have more to do with,
11:48whether or not Mike Evans plays,
11:51plays all the games,

11:52and also look,
11:54all offensive play callers have to evolve every year.

11:57I could see the 49ers not only wanting to lessen Christian McCaffrey's between the
12:03tackles touches,
12:04you know,
12:05like this is going to slowly evolve into being Brock Purdy's team over the next
12:09couple of years.
12:10They might throw the ball more this year.
12:11And him and scribbling could be the next eight years,
12:15seven years.
12:15Who knows?
12:16I don't think a thousand yards is the benchmark as if like he didn't have a
12:19successful year if he doesn't get a thousand.
12:21But if he plays a fully healthy season,
12:24you talked a lot about opportunities for him.
12:27And,
12:27and I think the bigger question for me,
12:30uh,
12:31for his stats is going to be,
12:32who do they go to in two wide receiver sets?
12:35Is he the second or is he only coming in for three wide receiver sets?
12:39Is Debo out there with Mike Evans or is dribbling out there with Mike Evans?
12:45To me,
12:46that's,
12:46that's the indicator as to whether or not he could go for a big year.
12:50I'm looking at this receiving core and McCaffrey and it,
12:56it may be something where they have four guys with about 800 yards.
13:01I would take that in a heartbeat.

13:30terms of how Kyle sprinkles both those guys in.

13:40stribbling probably would have like 640 yards.
13:43And so if it's like stribbling instead of Juwan and Debo steps in,
13:47instead of what Kendrick Bourne and Kendrick Bourne got most of his yards in
13:51the one game against the Rams.
13:53So I do think you're right.
13:54It's going to be a full on sprinkle,
13:56but if everyone's healthy and you have Kittle and Evans and stribbling for 17
14:01and McCaffrey,
14:02it's going to be much more of those guys than Christian.
14:05I think you extrapolate out actually Kittle and this will surprise people.

14:44but when I saw pure saw healthy,

14:59banged up against Seattle.

15:03now talk to me about McCaffrey's slowing down.
15:06If there's holes and not 20 guys waiting on them.

15:11the one thing that I'm just listening to everybody,
15:13we're talking about the offense.
15:17Like Kyle Shanahan is going to have them probably play an offense pretty well,
15:22assuming everybody's healthy.
15:24And I don't know how it's going to look if McCaffrey's leaned on like he's
15:28leaned on or,
15:29you know,
15:29Kittle's back,
15:30but Kyle Shanahan's pretty much shown that the offense will be pretty good.

15:36if it stays healthy,
15:38we just have not talked about the defense enough.
15:41The defense is really going to be where this team is either,
15:46is either average,
15:47good,
15:47or really good.
15:48We have no idea what to expect.
15:51Just been,
15:51but don't break.
15:52That's what they did last year.
15:53When you look at the points a lot,
15:55like that's how you did it.
15:56New coordinator who I think is going to come at this from a completely different
15:59angle.

16:01and then you have the band back together as long as they can stay back together.

16:10and obviously Dre Greenlaw who played zero games for the Niners last year.

16:16They have a depth issue on the defensive line,
16:18but there's some new pieces there.

16:21I'm a big believer that a similar secondary can perform a lot better.
16:25If you add in a pass rush,
16:26you force a quarterback into mistakes.
16:28They didn't do that last year.
16:30Plus Raheem Morris is going to be more of a risk taker.

16:35and then that can also help you.

17:37When you look at Drake Greenlaw,
17:39you've got Duggar who came in,
17:40you've got other linebackers and you know,
17:43you have some of the guys from last year.
17:44So I think that if those guys aren't the same,
17:48that they were last time we saw them,
17:50you've got other people who can step up.

17:54I'm kind of with you originally.

17:57let's not try to repeat history here,

17:59but I don't think they are to Dibs's point.
18:02Like I don't see Debo Samuel as at all.

18:06I don't think they're going to ask him to do what they used to ask him to do.

18:09So the opportunities for D you think it might be a little like than what it used to be.
18:13I think he's much more of a situational player and,
18:16and might be kind of a gadget player.
18:18If you think about what the Niners left last season wanting,
18:21they wanted wide receivers who were great route runners and had the speed to separate.
18:26That's never been Debo.

18:28And they were bad on that.
18:30That's Evans and Stribling.

18:31That's why they got those guys.
18:32But Debo and Greenlaw both kind of left because they were feeling some type of way about their current role.

18:46But I don't see the Niners as leaning on them as much as they did when they left.

19:04He's the guy who can go out there and get open against man coverage.

19:10then scribbling can be who he's going to be.

19:15if you go back to the playoffs,
19:16he was a big time playmaker.

19:20to me,
19:21it's pretty simple is that,

19:23three years ago or two years ago,
19:25when those guys left,
19:26they were,
19:26they were stars.
19:28Greenlaw was a star.
19:29And Debo,
19:29Sammy was unbelievable when he was at his best.
19:32And now they need them to be role players.
19:34They don't have to be stars.
19:35And like,
19:37I think we all know that Debo is going to be sprinkled in at Kyle's,
19:41you know,
19:42discretion and he'll use them as,
19:44as much as possible.
19:45I'm wondering if 49er fans are expecting Greenlaw to kind of be like
19:50Greenlaw of two or three years ago,
19:53that last year they got to the Superbowl.
19:55Maybe that's too much to ask.

19:57I think with a new scheme,
19:59you're going to have to like figure out exactly who's going to play,
20:02play what role.
20:03And you know,
20:03Raheem Morris is going to do a lot more like five man fronts.
20:06And so you might have like a five and then two linebackers and then four
